Insurrection!

Post by Clinton Huxley » Fri Nov 12, 2010 1:37 pm

At what point does it become the duty of a free-born citizenry to rise up against a "democratically" elected government turned tyrannical enemy of the people?

I'd say in about another 4 years time, when we can all viciously and sadistically attack them with our ballot cards. :tea:

Insurrection is a time when all members must be uprising, standing proud and firm, in all their (morning) glory.
It's a piece of piss to be cowiz, but it's not cowiz to be a piece of piss. Or something like that.

Yes, Clinton. Smash the state - let anarchy rule. So long as the delivery to Tesco's isn't interrupted by riots, and you can still buy your gin and ale. Chin chin :td:

Madam, somethings are more important than Tesco's deliveries. More important, even, than Ocado....

Yes, but would you still think so if there were bricks flying around your street with the odd riot going on, your kids' school was closed because the teachers were out on strike, and ocado couldn't deliver because of the road blocks? Perhaps you would. Maybe I underestimate your allegiance to 'the cause', but I do suspect that we should leave the anarchy talk to the young folk, while we discuss recipes online and rub our bunions, don't you?

Is this the UK version of the Tea Party?

I say old chaps, let's take old Blighty back. What ho!

Apparently, there is a UK version in the offing, led by Richard Littlejohn...

I'm thinking a bit more lefty than the Tea Party - the armed wing of the Guardianistas.

What I've found with a few discussions I've had lately is this self-satisfaction that people express with their proffessed open mindedness. In realty it ammounts to wilful ignorance and intellectual cowardice as they are choosing to not form any sort of opinion on a particular topic. Basically "I don't know and I'm not going to look at any evidence because I'm quite happy on this fence."
