All this talk of spreadsheets. Who else here works from memory?
I find mine quite reliable.
I can't read what you've written about me.

Oblivion, what do you think about Morticia?
Re: V mafia day 2
It's usually a lot more than votes and vote histories. It includes notes about particular statements, timing, etc, and sometimes links to a few posts I think are significant. and of course, my up to the minute guesses about people's alignments and roles, and about what happened each night. Most of the players I've mentored know how compulsive I am about having all the data at my beck and call.Magicziggy wrote:Oh, it's just the votes, ok.
My GM spreadsheets are childishly simple by comparison.

Re: V mafia day 2
If you are town, then who is running the scum show. Are they all sitting back?
I said yesterday had you as town. It was your insistance on setting me up that made me think you are scum. That and continual errors.
I got Feck wrong. That completely changes my view because I was reading your exchanges in a certain way.
Why Zigmen?

I'm thinking about this post from yesterday in light of Normals alignment.Magicziggy wrote:Oblivion, what do you think about Morticia?

AHem, I told you this morning I didn't get back in time to change my vote. Nightfall is at 7pm my time, which makes it hard to get here before. I made an extra effort today. When I read the posts I missed between voting for Normal and nightfall I would have changed my vote.oblivion wrote:I'm thinking about this post from yesterday in light of Normals alignment.Magicziggy wrote:Oblivion, what do you think about Morticia?

because of his reasons for lynch voting feck, especially after the exchange between feck and ghat in today's game thread. That coupled with his apparent fixation on SR looks to me like he's trying to find a safe place for his vote and he's not doing the sort of reevaluation that town players do.Magicziggy wrote:If you are town, then who is running the scum show. Though I have to say that as a town player he does occasionally latch onto something trivial and won't let go, sometimes for days.
There are some other reasons, but they are pretty meta, and I don't want him fixing them anytime soon.

Re: V mafia day 2
Also I just finished my votes part of the spreadsheet and noticed a possible reason for Feck's voting. It was noted that he put the vote on NOrmal yesterday but he didn't He voted for Ani and actually tied the votes between Ani and NOrmal. He may have been doing that to see who broke the tie or who unvoted to save someone.
Re: V mafia day 2
I see your point in this. I also noted he was on SR two days in a row for what appeared to be no real reason and never changed his vote of SR yesterday despite other more likely scum candidates.oblivion wrote:because of his reasons for lynch voting feck, especially after the exchange between feck and ghat in today's game thread. It's not the fact that you didn't get back. that happens sometimes.Morticia wrote:AHem, I told you this morning I didn't get back in time to change my vote. What I'm picking up on is your hedging -- "it doesn't make sense whether he's town or scum."
Town players are acting from a lack of knowledge. They do incomprehensible stuff because of that - they see patterns that don't exist and they miss patterns that do exist. scum on the other hand, are acting from knowledge. they know it every time they FoS or vote for a town player. And they struggle to find a valid, townish looking reason to vote for someone they know is town.
It's almost impossible to not give that you know something, even if you don't give away exactly what you know.
Re: V mafia day 2
You can say that but I'm not convinced. My thoughts are that either you or Oblivion are scum. The whole exchange over the past day or so between you two makes me not trust either of you. So my thoughts were if you flipped town than she was scum. Still unsure.Magicziggy wrote:I flip town. Now why don't you share.Morticia wrote:Pretension? Try sarcasm. Re: V mafia day 2
I wasn't saying that it didn't make sense if he was scum or town. I was saying the strategy made sense to me in neither condition and was more likely to be a scum strategy at that time. Obviously I was wrong, not having any information but what was in the thread to that point. Maybe it wasn't clear enough.
