We're watching 'Singing in the Rain' - a great film, though I'm having to explain to Junior F about silent films and historical elements of the 1920s...

I watched The Ghostwriter last night. Not bad at all - very "Hitchcock-esque" was how my wife described it.
I wonder what Tony Blair thought of it?

We just watched the rain-dancing sequence with Gene Kelly splashing through puddles while it pours down outside here... nah. We're staying in where it's warm and dry!maiforpeace wrote:A perfect movie for a rainy day...I love that movie.Bella Fortuna wrote:We're watching 'Singing in the Rain' - a great film, though I'm having to explain to Junior F about silent films and historical elements of the 1920s...

I'll watch it again before seeing the new one. It was utter coolness in the day.Mallardz wrote:I watched the old Tron film earlier.

Toy Story 3. Entertaining, but thematically and viscerally much darker than I'd anticipated.

I just watched RED today, I really enjoyed it.
I can live with doubt, and uncertainty, and not knowing. I think it's much more interesting to live not knowing than to have answers which might be wrong. [...] I don’t feel frightened by not knowing things, by being lost in a mysterious universe without having any purpose, which is the way it really is, as far as I can tell, possibly. It doesn’t frighten me. - Richard Feynman

I watched Legion last night on your recommendation. Good lord what a steaming pile of shitGawdzilla wrote:Watching "Wolfman" now. I hope it gets better soon.

People think "queue" is just "q" followed by 4 silent letters.
But those letters are not silent.
They're just waiting their turn.

Took my son and we both shed a few tears. Loved it. The "incinerator" scene had me watering up.statichaos wrote:Toy Story 3. Entertaining, but thematically and viscerally much darker than I'd anticipated.
Saw 'Robin Hood' last week. What a missed opportunity. Good actors. Good production values. Horrible script. I do like how they depicted Richard "The Lion Heart" as drunken fop. The portrayal of "Prince John" reminded me of the old Disney movie where the cowardly lion played him.

I enjoyed it for the violence, but the predictable hero-building in the plot was prettyScienceRob wrote:I just watched RED today, I really enjoyed it.

Great, wasn't it? God wants Jesus killed, but he's actually screwed it up. Loved it!tattuchu wrote:I watched Legion last night on your recommendation. Good lord what a steaming pile of shitGawdzilla wrote:Watching "Wolfman" now. I hope it gets better soon.
