The key is, when tax revenues drop and the economy is horrible - increase federal spending by almost 10%. That makes sense. http://www.washingtontimes.com/news/201 ... scal-2010/

Beside breitbart being the honest reporter we all know and love and the fact that I'd have to check with astronomers if that asshole dsk told me that the earth is spinning on its own axis as well as around the sun?

You don't believe that "The head of the IMF on Monday warned central bankers that the global recovery would be "in peril" if the world's major economies do not keep working together, amid mounting fears of a currency war?" That's something you think Breitbart made up?Svartalf wrote:Beside breitbart being the honest reporter we all know and love and the fact that I'd have to check with astronomers if that asshole dsk told me that the earth is spinning on its own axis as well as around the sun?
And, Breitbart isn't the reporter in that article. It's a republication of an AFP article. http://www.afp.com/afpcom/en/taglibrary ... ic/economy

Re: Here comes the other economic shoe dropping...
What Bernanke wants to do is, in fact, pretty dangerous. Basically he's reducing confidence in the dollar, which drops the value of the dollar against the euro. That might help with employment in some areas - it might make Boeing more competitive against Airbus, for example - but there's a big risk of retaliation, as the IMF says. There's also a risk of the world switching to the euro as the primary reserve currency, which would massive inflation for the U.S.

a) I don't know and can't be assed to check exactly what breitbart may have made up or not, I've already had sufficient proof of his dishonesty that I'll assume that whatever the AP actually published, he has spun and cherry picked it so it tells what he wants it toCoito ergo sum wrote:You don't believe that "The head of the IMF on Monday warned central bankers that the global recovery would be "in peril" if the world's major economies do not keep working together, amid mounting fears of a currency war?" b) if dsk told me that my wee wee is for making babies by sticking it into a girl's heiny, I'd start reexamining stuff I've taken as matter of fact for the last 30+ years.

He just reprinted the AFP article. The head of the IMF said what he said.Svartalf wrote:a) I don't know and can't be assed to check exactly what breitbart may have made up or not, I've already had sufficient proof of his dishonesty that I'll assume that whatever the AP actually published, he has spun and cherry picked it so it tells what he wants it toCoito ergo sum wrote:You don't believe that "The head of the IMF on Monday warned central bankers that the global recovery would be "in peril" if the world's major economies do not keep working together, amid mounting fears of a currency war?" daminic strauss kahn is a world class sleazebag who's made a political career as a "socialist" when he's actually as far to the left as a nazi salute, and if you don't know him by his full name, you should look up who they talk about in articles you post.
Oh, and when did I appeal to any authority? I actually said that some people are reverse authorities because I know them likely to utter falsehood even when they know the actual truth (as opposed to reverse verecundiam by dismissing whoever is cited as an ignorant moron who doesn't know what he's saying)

I did not know who you were referring to by the lower case "dsk." It wasn't clear.Svartalf wrote:daminic strauss kahn is a world class sleazebag who's made a political career as a "socialist" when he's actually as far to the left as a nazi salute, and if you don't know him by his full name, you should look up who they talk about in articles you post.
Your second sentence about being told that women get pregnant by taking it in the ass - I read that as your indication that if dsk told you that you would reexamine your previously held beliefs. You've clarified above that that was not what you meant.Svartalf wrote: Oh, and when did I appeal to any authority? But, whatever - the facts are either true or false, regardless of who says it or whether they are good or bad socialist.

Re: Here comes the other economic shoe dropping...
I would never capitalize that kind of scum... I'd rather capitalize my Shit when I go render justice from on high on the Porcelain Throne.
Actually, the operative bit was the use of the virile member... the actual aperture was unimportant and the error would more lie in my misuse of childish mincewords than in my ignorance of the acts involved.
and the facts cover a whole area of gray depending on how they are spun, in in what context they are uttered... this is not a mere press release, it's a blog. Even if breitbart copied the release in extenso and without modifications, I'm pretty certain he decided to copy it specifically because it agrees with his positions, not as an exercise of proper journalism and complete information

It's not in peril because it has not even started, and the way things are, things will likely get worse before they get better.
