BBC Horizon: What Happened Before The Big Bang
Re: BBC Horizon: What Happened Before The Big Bang
There's a rumour going around that there is a torrent of this.

And effective if one were to use the second link, which, of course, one didn't.Animavore wrote:Yeah. That would be bold.

The thing that is a bit scary, is if there was a universe before, which faded away to make room for our universe, is that all life in the previous universe has been wiped out, and ultimately all life in this universe will share the same fate.

Something to worry about in a few trillion years time then.Deep Sea Isopod wrote:The thing that is a bit scary, is if there was a universe before, which faded away to make room for our universe, is that all life in the previous universe has been wiped out, and ultimately all life in this universe will share the same fate.

A book is a version of the world. If you do not like it, ignore it; or offer your own version in return.

Just watched it on yoo toob.
I have no clue what Penrose was on about.
I paraphrase Penrose: "Once the universe gets so big and is only made of photons, it will lose track of how big it is and big becomes the same as small, and so the cycle continues with another big bang."
What the fuck is that all about?

The first trillion years is the only fun time you'll have anyway.Deep Sea Isopod wrote:Xamonas Chegwé wrote:Something to worry about in a few trillion years time then.Deep Sea Isopod wrote:The thing that is a bit scary, is if there was a universe before, which faded away to make room for our universe, is that all life in the previous universe has been wiped out, and ultimately all life in this universe will share the same fate.

Right then. After the first trillion years someone must promise to kill me, because I don't wanna die!

There is the theory that black holes have the same properties as fundamental particles, but there was little explanation for what you just paraphrased. Anyone?

Three letter word.
Anagram of "dog". (It's not "dgo", "gdo", "odg" or "ogd".)
When in doubt, insert said word up rectum and fart for answer.
