Sounds interesting - shame I don't have a telly.

Wonder how long it'll take them to put it on iplayer.
In the best laid plans of history lie the ruins of the past
And a chronicle of suffering shows the mythic pall they cast
To believe is true religion, but to see is truth at last
Oh no, too late to hold a trial, time doesn't wait for the watchmaker's dial

I don't have access to iPlayer (legally ...) but if I see it on YouTube, I'll post the link here. :eddy:

Bloody theoretical physicists/cosmologists and their zany mumbo-jumbo.

Well, actually it was quite good ... just don't ask me what it was about. Apparently, the big bang wasn't the beginning (it mightn't even have happened), but that's where the agreement ends. :panic:

I just watched it. It was good, but surprise surprise, the big bang didn't come from nothing. I never thought it did. It was a ludicrous idea from the start.
Only nothing comes from nothing. ALL the creationists will tell you that.

So, where did God come from, eh? :cranky:

:hehe:

Oddly enough, God hardly got a look in during the program. I didn't see him in any of the equations. Stephen Hawking was in the background in one shot though ...

We're still at hypothesis stage ...
It's not reached the exalted "it's just a theory" stage yet.

What came before the Big Bang? That shining drop of magic commonly called "pre-Big Bang".

I watched it last night and found a lot of it rather annoying. Instead of more interviews we kept getting arty shots of the building, the Perimeter Institute, and surrounding scenery. Really, it would have made a better radio program as the picture did not help.

The ideas being discussed were interesting though. I liked the idea that the universe might have started from an exploding black hole. It wasn't all theory, though, and there were a few large scale experiments shown which may well give some evidence one way or the other on some of he theories. CERN may help too.

It was worth watching, though, so look out for it. If you live abroad you might look for a free UK proxy server to watch it.
