Some called a Barack Obama-Hillary Clinton pairing the "Dream Ticket" in 2008. It didn't happen.
But what about 2012?
"It's on the table," veteran Washington Post reporter Bob Woodward told CNN's John King in an interview Tuesday on John King, USA. "Some of Hillary Clinton's advisers see it as a real possibility in 2012."

The scenario – whereby Vice President Joe Biden and Secretary of State Hillary Clinton would switch positions - has been bandied about by political observers for months, seen by some as a potentially savvy strategy to gin up excitement among what appears to be a depressed Democratic base.

I'm not saying anything about Hillary here, but that would just be dumb. She's pretty well hated by a lot of people.
What I've found with a few discussions I've had lately is this self-satisfaction that people express with their proffessed open mindedness. In realty it ammounts to wilful ignorance and intellectual cowardice as they are choosing to not form any sort of opinion on a particular topic. Basically "I don't know and I'm not going to look at any evidence because I'm quite happy on this fence."

Robert Gibbs has flatly denied this rumor.

After the 2008 campaign, I just can't see them ever being one the same ticket. It was a big deal to see her in his cabinet.

The long drawn out fight was as real as pro wrestling. Hillary got to say she went the distance and Obama got to tour every state and keep the media attention fixed on him.

She got Secretary of Defense because if she was not given a big job, she would have worked against Obama. She probably agreed not to run in 2012 against him, if she was brought into the fold.

Why would you be? The alternative was Palin and McCain.

McCain would have been an improvement. You have me on Palin, though. The thing is, it looks like McCain will make it to 2012, so we'dve heard as much from Palin as we have from Biden - just the occasional idiotic statement....

McCain made it to 2012 Not in the Oval office.

Very good point. I'm sure the stress of the job would've knocked him dead a while ago.

Or Palin would have fucking spiked his coffee with arsenic.

Either way, you merkins fuck yourselves over with your voting habits, so you had Obama/Biden or McCain/Palin. The right guy got the job.

Doesn't feel like the right guy got the job. Biden is no less of a boob than Palin, and Obama is a huge disappointment, given the hype.

Given what he inherited, he did pretty well.

McCain was the guy who said wars were good for America.
