Good one.It does genuinely puzzle me why devout Xtians aren't whooping for joy when they find out that their god has specially selected them as a recipient of terminal cancer. Ok, maybe a lightning strike would be quicker and less painful, but it still should be like winning second prize in the lottery.
Unless they're secretly having doubts about the very existence of the prize.

Maybe they suddenly realise that they haven't done enough to grant a place in heaven and fight to stay alive to finish off their lifes mission because they know that they will be judged by what they do in this life and once they die it's too late (or some bullshit).
