Normal voted me mayor and lynch voted Morticia then hit the club with little concern about whether his lynch vote was going to be good. FoS that.

when I came into the game it was like the sargasso sea. No wind in the sails. nobody was being pressured. nobody was pressuring and it had basically been that way since Monday with the exception of a little pressure from Ghat toward Denny. When I came in, started asking question and started fosing people, then stuff started to happen. Why was no one doing that before I joined the game?

Denny placed a lynch vote and did the same thing.

You can only read so much into that in a game with so many time zones, though.

I walked into a power vacuum when I was subbed in. It was less than 12 hours to go out of over 48 and there was no clear lynch or mayor vote at that point. Ordinarily, would that be the case? Or would the vacuum have sucked in one of the usual take-charge players? Is this because the usual take-charge players aren't playing this game? Or because they haven't stepped up? That was the main reason why I was all over Charlou. Another player who tends to take chare is Ghat, but he's been playing an intense game at TR this week.

Higgs isn't a super assertive player, but she tends to step up when someone else doesn't.

Some folks are missing from this game: mantis, ani, Useless, twinkie. Does that explain what happened today?
I have only played one game with Ghat and he was lynched early before I could get to know his style. Although, even with the players I have played with more I am not always sure when paranoia seeds are planted by others. I think I'm still too new to have strong opinions about player styles and I tend to go off what others are saying about their usual behavior.

Maybe the 48 hours to play with had something to do with it. It did for me. Then I was offline for a large chunk of the second half of it, in which time I was brought under suspicion and pretty much considered guilty before I even opened my mouth again, based on nothing more than your conviction about how you think I should have played.

All that aside as an unhelpful distraction, I'm now trying to work out who to hit tonight that is not actually town.

I think that's enough said about that.
I was under the impression you were supposed to do that when town. Is it possible those who have claimed to be vanilla are special and not ready to out themselves?
I don't. I don't claim unless I think I'm going to be lynched no matter what my role. I'm perfectly happy for scum to think I'm a special when I'm vanilla. If they waste a night kill on me, that means town specials have another night's worth of information and actions.
I didn't think of it that way. Lesson learned.

Really? I thought you had much more experience than 4 games.

In the Tarot game, Denny was very paranoid, and pretty vocal. He was actively scum hunting. Hard to draw a lot from that because he was subbed in on day 4 I think and had to hit the ground running. But, his scum play in the boy band game was a lot more hesitant. In this game, he reacted to Ghat's lynch vote and backed down on his votes when I asked him about them.

That much hesitance could indicate inexperienced scum. Inexperienced town tend to be a bit more touchy.

No I started with Monty Python game. I look at it this way. I got lucky in my first two games and in the last one I had no idea what to think. I started using the spreadsheet to try and spot inconsistencies in the Tea Party game which worked well for that game which is how I won it but that system failed me in the last game.

I'm not putting my night actions in until later as I want to give those who are offline atm a chance to catch up and have their say on it.

I went to bed at a Normal time. And as I have pointed out in previous games you will always see votes from me, every day (because not voting is unhelpful). At the time there were two quiet players, and I voted for morticia who already had the most votes. I figured my vote could then do two things. If the pressure/suspicion of mort increased my vote would help bring him/her down, or if he/she showed up my vote would turn out useless.

This post shows Gallstones hittin' da club:
http://rationalia.com/forum/viewtopic.p ... 75#p609701

This made me suspicious of him. Even though he did show up later all he did was unvote.

I agree with oblivion about him being more concerned about self preservation than helping out
