A bit of Starcraft 2 every now and then (so far I'd say worth the million years I've waited since the original).

I just installed Warhammer Online for Felix, though I'll probably have a little go of it myself too.

Civilization V just came out today. I've already installed in on my computer, but I'm putting off playing for a few minutes longer. Once I begin, it will suck in the next few years of my life...

 Why didn't anyone ever mention The Force Unleashed sucks balls before I spent my last fiver renting it?
What a fucking mess of a game! The camera is always in the wrong place. The law of averages says that it should at least be in the right place by chance every now and then.

I've never even heard of the game let alone know if it sucked.

It's a Star Wars game which advertised itself, at the time, as the definitive Jedi Knight game.

I've got it on Xbox and I thoroughly enjoy it. I've never had trouble with the camera because I use the lock-on system, and what do you mean "The Bad Guys don't react to you."?

They don't flee in terror when they see my might as would be naturally befitting.
That and they run around like retards without a plan.

Yeah, they tend to do that... but then again most bad guys in most games do, and 'having a plan' doesn't help when your enemy can charge everything with lightning or hurl it across the universe.

I just think the execution is all wrong.
I don't remember having this much trouble in InFamous or Prototype.

Prototype and InFamous are sandbox games, that's why.
Mass open world.
They had precedents to work on.

Force Unleashed was experimental. "Big World Mechanics" locked in to a small world.

I want a game to get me through the long October.

I'm thinking this, Demon's Souls.

Anyone have any goss on this?
I'm not so sure about playing a game where I'll die every couple of minutes.

Or should I join the nerds and get Dragon Age: Origins?

DA:O is great fun. Can take you a few hours to get the hang of it, but once you do it really opens up. A time sink, but you can take it casually.

Demon's Souls is a dedication game. You really have to be willing to work at it...
And work at it...
And work at it.
