Disc 2 ended with a 40 mile swarm of desert locusts, a tremendous eating machine. It only hinted at a long life cycle, eggs dormant in desert for decades at times.

This is what life is about:lunch.

We have more movies than I imagined. My son must have bought some of them. This one was Spielberg produced and had chases and things blowing up. I've forgotten the title, something with Run. Next.

Wait, it was not Run, and I blogged it.

No, not Milwaukee.

Been gone several days. Watched a Star Trek New Generation, with some plot weaknesses...it was a first contact story. And I watched a pay per view football game with a relative in bar, as I could not get to the stadium on my crutches. Sports bars are strange experiences to me as I am not a hard core sports fan. Yet I enjoy a live college game in the stadium.

Had one beer, it was Newcastle something ale, tolerable. Should have had a Heineken.

Watched Catch 22. I give it three stars. Book must have been better.

Watched a House episode on the net. We can see it at fox.com, probably the only Fox show I watch, now that I do not see Simpsons, kids used to watch it.

Watched another House rerun. The fox site is a bit messy, all kinds of buttons to play one silly episode.

Have watched all but one of the House shows at fox.com

Also watched Part, disc 5, of Planet Earth. The sea chapter is spectacular, birds and fishes. Eat or be eaten, but it is complex. Also you see crabs, eels and giant bugs devour a dead fish on the bottom. In speeded up video.

I bought some kind of BBC show on DVD, my wife likes not so messy mysteries. Some old lady and her two sidekicks solve village mysteries. There is a wonderful unamerican gloom and resigned to their fate boredom in these people.

We watched all the Hamish McBeth shows, Scottish gloom, a couple of years back. Bring be some mackerel and a drink.

Rush Beyond The Lighted Stage. The best part is in the bonus disc, three drunken nearly 60 year old still able to stand rock stars, ast dinner in a hunting lodge. We have such things in North America. :hilarious:

Watched an old Star Trek...mostly...on Hulu-CBS. Friday's Child. It was OK, cheap sets, nice soundtrack music for a simple TV show. But the Klingon is just a bearded guy! :funny:

Spock to Kirk and McCoy: I think you are both going to be insufferably pleased with yourself for a month.
