:hmph: I happen to like it.

It's the perfect example of the "Dad watching film with 9 year old son" genre.

I love robots so I was willing to forgive most anything in the film. But even then I find Transformers, and Transformers 2 even more so, one of the most crappy things Michael Bay has ever done.

Megan Fox was much more interesting in 2 and a half men than in Transformers. Probably because the episode only lasts 25 minutes.

I don't really find her that attractive normally (well not to the point where I'd salivate) but in Transformers....

Too Californian for my taste.
"The fact is that far more crime and child abuse has been committed by zealots in the name of God, Jesus and Mohammed than has ever been committed in the name of Satan. Many people don't like that statement but few can argue with it."

Just saw Scott Pilgrim Vs The World. It was probably one of the most random movies I've ever seen. Things just happened out of no where, things didn't happen when you thought something was going to happen. There were parts that were amusing, others with a quirky charm, and still some more which were cringe-worthy or grating.
But for all it's flashy lights, non-stop references to gaming, anime and contemporary pop culture, it's fast cut scenes and tangential sequences the film was, ultimately, a bore.
The only bit that made me sit up and think that the film was about to pick up was when Chris Evans came into it. He literally tore up the scenery. The whole 5-10 minutes he was there I just laughed. But after he was gone, and this just under half-way through it, it went back to being boring again.
I'm not sure it's a good sign if the two most memorable things from a movie are Chris Evans and the opening Universal Pictures ... thingy (is there a name for that, when the logo comes up accompanied by music?). I mean since The Matrix it has been fashionable for film studios to have variations on their logos related to the film and I think this one is the best I've seen.

Dead Man with Johnny Depp, along with a host of other great actors. It's a...well...fuck it, here's what Wikipedia sez:

Dead Man is a 1995 American Western film written and directed by Jim Jarmusch. It stars Johnny Depp, Gary Farmer, Billy Bob Thornton, Iggy Pop, Crispin Glover, John Hurt, Michael Wincott, Lance Henriksen, and Robert Mitchum (in his final role). The film, dubbed an "Acid Western" by its director, includes twisted elements of the Western genre. The film is shot entirely in black-and-white. Some consider it the ultimate postmodern Western, and related to postmodern literature such as Cormac McCarthy's novel, Blood Meridian.

When I was checking it out on amazon, reviewers seemed to either love it or hate it, without much middle ground. Of course the more negative reviews I read, the more intrigued I was. If a movie provokes such strong feelings, I thought, then there's gotta be something to it. So for only a couple bucks (got it used), I figured I'd give it a try. And I'm glad I did. One of the more enjoyable films I've seen. Great performances, Depp is very good. What I didn't expect, however, was that the movie was going to be so funny! I actually laughed out loud several times. It was a fucking riot
People think "queue" is just "q" followed by 4 silent letters.

But those letters are not silent.

They're just waiting their turn.
