Love: just a fancy kind of pair bonding?

Post by Tero » Mon Sep 13, 2010 12:59 pm

Birds are bonded, often for life. There is some chemistry going on, then it is locked. He may copulate with others, she may. But he is committed to feed whatever nestlings are in her nest.

Love, though complex, isn't just more of the same? Love is blind, you are committed to the one person for some time, not seeing their faults.

Yeah. I read a great article in the New Scientist about love from an evolutionary perspective. I'll see if I can find it...

If it means lots of shagging, I'm all for it
It's a piece of piss to be cowiz, but it's not cowiz to be a piece of piss. Or something like that.

It's always mystified me, how do women KNOW when they are in love?

Well I would question whether there is free will in any of our thoughts and feelings.

Love feels amazing though. :shiver:

And all you silly buggers :lay: , it's clearly something very different to, or at least more than just, sexual arousal.
