Re: Highlander
I watched it like half a dozen times... the first five I liked it a lot, that last I saw all the cheese and bad acting and crummy visuals and bad acting and plot holes and bad acting. The Mad Hatter wrote:Man... it's brilliant fun to watch but my god is it bad.
and lo, I no longer liked it and spat on the only piece of the franchise I ever liked in the first place.

In this case it is.

Re: Highlander
What I don't understand is why the hell they made sequels. I mean, if ever a plot line was tied up in a bow, it's the end of the first movie.
As an aside, how can you not love a movie where everyone is Scottish EXCEPT Sean Connery (?) and a man holds his head on with safety pins?

Easily.
Queen redeemed it slightly, and as I said the bridge scene was sheer genius.
But they were its only endearing qualities.

I've not seen it either. And now I'm confused as to whether I'm deprived or depraved?Gawdzilla wrote:I was depraved too, but I saw it several times.Animavore wrote:I've never seen Highlander.
I was a deprived child

Re: Highlander
I should watch it sometime.
I'm wild just like a rock, a stone, a tree
And I'm free, just like the wind the breeze that blows
And I flow, just like a brook, a stream, the rain
And I fly, just like a bird up in the sky
And I'll surely die, just like a flower plucked
And dragged away and thrown away
And then one day it turns to clay
It blows away, it finds a ray, it finds its way
And there it lays until the rain and sun
Then I breathe, just like the wind the breeze that blows
And I grow, just like a baby breastfeeding
And it's beautiful, that's life

Re: Highlander
They couldn't even get the soundtrack right. They should've got good Queen instead of bad Queen

Re: Highlander
Not a film that stands the test of time. Still a shit hot soundtrack though
Outside the ordered universe is that amorphous blight of nethermost confusion which blasphemes and bubbles at the center of all infinity—the boundless daemon sultan Azathoth, whose name no lips dare speak aloud, and who gnaws hungrily in inconceivable, unlighted chambers beyond time and space amidst the muffled, maddening beating of vile drums and the thin monotonous whine of accursed flutes.
