I do, but haven't seen it in ages as I don't have cable.

The world is a thing of utter inordinate complexity and richness and strangeness that is absolutely awesome. I mean the idea that such complexity can arise not only out of such simplicity, but probably absolutely out of nothing, is the most fabulous extraordinary idea. And once you get some kind of inkling of how that might have happened, it's just wonderful. And . . . the opportunity to spend 70 or 80 years of your life in such a universe is time well spent as far as I am concerned.

Nervous system? Brings back fond memories that...

Had been dreaming about something and was in deep REM sleep when mum woke me up at 6:30 AM to give me tea, I woke up and said "Please don't disturb me, I'm studying the nervous system"
"What?!" , Me, angrily "The nervous system, dimwit, the nervous system!" , then she went "Wake up!" , I retorted "You aren't helping anyone here, this is critical, and I'll have to do it, I'm already nervous about the nervous system" and went back to sleep.

Not the only such eccentric experience I've had, mind.

How about colonic irrigation is a load of crap for a title?
Outside the ordered universe is that amorphous blight of nethermost confusion which blasphemes and bubbles at the center of all infinity—the boundless daemon sultan Azathoth, whose name no lips dare speak aloud, and who gnaws hungrily in inconceivable, unlighted chambers beyond time and space amidst the muffled, maddening beating of vile drums and the thin monotonous whine of accursed flutes.

To do a nervous system experiment you could do the fantastic one where, using a divider (or similar) you gently press one or two points into someone's skin (the two points being a set distances apart, 3", 2", 1", etc). You try this in various locations around the body and ask if they feel one or two points. The experiment shows how dense the nerve endings are in different areas of the body. On the back for example, the subject will feel one point when actually there are two points, because the nerves are to far apart to give a fine enough resolution.

Does that make sense? You could probably find a clearer explanation online, as it's a well known experiment.

I used to do something similar with students, working in pairs. However, they would start with the toothpics a millimetre apart, then separate them until the subject could definitely feel 2 points. Only takes a mm or so in the finger, much further elsewhere. In effect, it is measuring the density of touch receptors in various locations...

There was one more incident of that sort... Dad waking me up this time "What time does the college start?" "53 pounds 27 ounces" "I asked you about the time!" "I'm telling you the time! Convert it into kg yourself please, 1 kg is kind of like 2.2 pounds" "The Time!!!" "The time?" *ponder cluelessly for 5 minutes* then " 3:30 " "What?" "2:30" "12:30" and finally "10:00" which was indeed the correct time.

Dad himself had one such experience , puffing and panting in the middle of the night when asleep , mum woke him up to ask what was wrong, "Don't stop me! The theif is running away with all of our utensils" was the answer.
