I PASSED! I PASSED!! NEVER WILL I NEED TO BE LOGICAL EVER AGAIN!!!
everyone who listened to my moaning and bitching and rooted for me!
But you can never stop being logical ...

Oh klr! I am speechless. That's one of the songs my friends and I used to play a LOT when we were in our late teens and early tweens - it was a part of our resistance against the System. And it also describes so perfectly the black pedagogics that my last two-three years as an engineering college undergrad have been too full of.
It's really fitting that also today my hubby got good tickets to "The Wall" by Roger Waters (coming to Helsinki in April). It will be interesting to compare how I feel today, when I am finally free from courses that are both uninteresting, badly taught, and where the personnel is routinely emotionally abusive towards the students, and when I have had half a year to get used to my (relative) freedom.
SUPER BIG THANKS!

Very insightful of you, Tigger. I guess only time will tell if I will be able to reclaim my values and genuine personality in full, or if I have been permanently twisted by my pursuit of a route into those places where I can influence engineering and engineering education from the inside... :sighsm:
Yet there are encouraging examples of insiders who can see right through the sides of the "box", even after decades inside the System. Richard Felder is one of my heroes: http://www4.ncsu.edu/unity/lockers/user ... er/public/
And now to the serious side of this business: more beer!

Happy to oblige. Actually, I had an idea you might recognise it ...
