The dialogue was a bit ridiculous. None of the characters stuck out. The bad guy didn't have a point to any thing he done. The Commodus type King was uninspired. The "merry men" were the same character multiplied by 4. Russell Crowe was Russell Crowe. Maid Marion tried to play the role of the strong warrior woman but to be honest she looks like the type of woman who can't even darn a sock let alone swing a sword. The battles, lacking the dismemberment, decapitations and blood spraying we've grown used to since Braveheart, are pretty tame and lack any bite and one scene was a complete rip-off of the opening of Saving Private Ryan.
That is, to say, I didn't like it.

They had landing craft and bows and arrows.

It was lame. I'm actually holding back on what I think about this lazy, formulaic, insipid and time wasting effort by Ridley Scott of all people.

Here's a great movie turned into a bad movie, starring myself and my 2-yr old twins:

I don't know about bad, so much as disappointing. The Imaginarium of Dr Parnassus. Started out great. This is the Terry Gilliam I fell in love with. Reminded me quite a lot of The Adventures of Baron Munchausen. But after the first act, it got progressively lamer :(

There are two different types of bad movie

a) Just plain bad i.e. Robin Hood

b) So bad it's good i.e Mega Shark vs Giant Octipus.

Which kind is this thread actually for?

Personally, I love watching films that are shit beyond comprehension, call them guilty pleasures if you want. If the film plays out like it knows it's shit then that can actually make it even better.

Prime example,

D.O.A - Dead or Alive.

This film takes clichés, shitty script writing and woeful plots to a new level of absurdity, the film's opening scene has us subjected to a cheap looking set where Devon Ioki displays some of the worst acting in celulloid history talking about some shitty plot line involving her missing brother before she manages to escape from an armed, isolated and technologically defunct mountain top stronhold by throwing a sword into the base of a wall and using it to bounce her over a 15' wall and off the mountain in free fall. As if this wasn't retarded enough she the magics a fucking backpack glider from nowhere

Well there's bad. And then there's so bad it's good. And then there's so bad that its gone past good and come back 'round to bad.

Where the fuck could she ever get such a thing when she lives on a fucking mountain!

Face palming becomes more frequent as the story cluster fucks it's way to the climactic reveal that the whole plot was for a twat called Dr.VD?!?! to sell a pair of sunglasses on the black market that allow the wearer to fight like anybody they recorded in battle.

It's hard to believe that such a bollox concept actually managed to muster studio funding while proper movie makers struggle to raise cash for innovative projects.

It's a fucking train wreck of a film that is so bad that I can't stop laughing when I see it.

Ayaan and I "watched" one the other day that we quickly expelled from memory. I don't have clue what it was about, just that it was really, really, bad.

I... have liked every movie I've bought in the past two years.

I also only ever buy movies that I like. And by that I mean only the one or two movies that I liked the most all year.
