Watching the trailer was enough for me. Too much actually.owtth wrote:Just watched Robin Hood, absolute bollox. I despise Kevin Costner but in relation to this abortion of a movie his version was Godlike. There was nothing redeemable about this bucket of shit, it was horrid, my only joy is that I did not actually pay for it but I pirated it. Never have my illegal activities felt so justified. Seriously shitttttt!!!!!

Thought "Moon" was interesting. It's a point that will need looking at in the future, certainly.Clinton Huxley wrote:Just got a copy of Moon, which I believe is meant to be jolly good.
Wonderful film, everything about it is spot on, Sci Fi flicks usually have a moment of "wait wut?" but with this I found myself going "yeah, that could happen".Clinton Huxley wrote:Just got a copy of Moon, which I believe is meant to be jolly good.

It starred John Hurt and Richard Burton. It should've been brilliant with those two alone, it wasn't. It had all the stuff from the book, even the same lines in many parts, but it was stripped of all its deep psychological and vertiginous paranoia. Even the torture scenes weren't hard-hitting and there was never the sense of sinisterness in O'Brien and Room 101 that accompanied these in the book either.
It was quite dull, actually.
