It's the battle of the bands that everyone has been talking about! The Club Owner flips a coin, and Town gets to start the contest. You lead off with a classic:



But, you need to be careful because "Scum Tween" is going to get to answer each one of your songs with one of their own. Their synthesizers are hooked up. The drum machines are plugged in (behind the "drummer"). The Voice Pitch Correctors have been calibrated. And, most importantly, the Scum band has been told the they rock by enough 9-year-olds that they actually believe it!

But in between songs, the Scum Band puts on some bandanas and leather pants and there's a smoke machine that can't be shut off. You can hardly tell who rocks and who is a poser! Except maybe by the telltale smell of expensive skin lotion . . .

Backstage a discussion erupts. Who was the greatest drummer of all time. Neil Peart? John Bonham? Keith Moon?

The Scum Tweens look at you like deer in headlights. Yamaha, they suggest. Perhaps Roland?





You flick your cigarette at them as a light bulb ignites above your head. You know the answer and, when you blurt it out, everyone immediately agrees with you.





But the smoke machine is malfunctioning and, before you can identify the Scum Tweens, they are lost again in the crowd.

You hope you remember enough of what they looked like through the fog and dark sunglasses that you wear.

Interesting way of looking at it. Nice to see scum hunting so early. I can't really see a big difference between the two posts though?
I think the last game was his first, as well, so any kind of patterns probably haven't had time to manifest themselves yet.

That's why I asked. I know several players also play at ratskep, and I'm not familiar with budskiboo. I haven't played a game here in a few months, though I've GMed a bunch of recent ratz games.

But I disagree with you that there isn't a big difference in the two posts. In the first one, he put down a vote, and did the game-required question. In this thread, all the posts prior to his were fluff, but they were short fluff of the "i'm subscribing" variety. His stands out as a little forced and lengthy.
