So the campfire/Kumbaya thing is out? :sighsm:

Kumbaya actually means "Joyously eat the spleens of the tribe that lives on the wrong side of yonder hill"FBM wrote:So the campfire/Kumbaya thing is out? :sighsm:
What I've found with a few discussions I've had lately is this self-satisfaction that people express with their proffessed open mindedness. In realty it ammounts to wilful ignorance and intellectual cowardice as they are choosing to not form any sort of opinion on a particular topic. Basically "I don't know and I'm not going to look at any evidence because I'm quite happy on this fence."

The Net is best considered analogous to communication with disincarnate intelligences. As any neophyte would tell you. Do not invoke that which you have no facility to banish.

Don't get excited, they have no idiom for "Do what, now?"FBM wrote:No shit? There's an African word for 'yonder'?Robert_S wrote:Kumbaya actually means "Joyously eat the spleens of the tribe that lives on the wrong side of yonder hill"FBM wrote:So the campfire/Kumbaya thing is out? :sighsm:

'ya' could be an ancient universal phoneme, perhaps a proto-'yonder'. I think I now have a topic for my next research paper.Robert_S wrote:I think it's what the "b" stands for.FBM wrote:No shit? But in any case, shall we kumbaya, or should we just continue to sing and dance in a circle around those people who came 'round with their friends to have an argument and then complained that our village is too argumentative?FBM wrote:'ya' could be an ancient universal phoneme, perhaps a proto-'yonder'. my reason for disliking that other rats what ever the hell they're called is cause I can't even fart an opinion without getting reported. WHat is their frekn problem? It's like talking with a bunch of 5 yr olds!
