What I've found with a few discussions I've had lately is this self-satisfaction that people express with their proffessed open mindedness. In realty it ammounts to wilful ignorance and intellectual cowardice as they are choosing to not form any sort of opinion on a particular topic. Basically "I don't know and I'm not going to look at any evidence because I'm quite happy on this fence."

You didn't have to get past very many "leftobots" to get to the very simple question. I'm pretty sure you saw the question.
If you don't want to answer the very simple question, why did you bother responding to the post? Trying to sweep the question under the rug by criticizing the questioner's posting style?
Why do you want to make the very simple question go away?
"My question is, why do leftobot automatons keep repetitively screaming that the U.S. is taking Iraq's oil, without any evidence? Is there some reason for this, other than inherent dishonesty?"

lol.
More nonsense. You and gawd are so much alike - any point you might make is drowned in your abject and irrational hatred.

So...what does that have to do with anything. I am not a fanatic either and you made the same snide ass comment about me. Oh...wait, whats that??? I AM a fanatic...really!! Our struggle is not against actual corrupt individuals, but against those in power in general, against their authority, against the global order and the ideological mystification which sustains it.

Perhaps we will discuss your own "irrational hatred" later.
In the meantime, I'll take these repeated slaggings-off of the very simple question as tacit admissions that the leftobot automatons are lying about the U.S. stealing Iraq's oil. And that's not all they're lying about.
Although I'm sure the automatons really believed the lie in 2005. Perhaps It is just hard for them to shift their propagandistic gears. Perhaps they keep forgetting they blew out that gear of their unsynchronized propagandistic transmission by repeatedly slamming into it without regard to road speed or RPM.

Iraqi oil used to be a public sector thing, owned by the Iraqis themselves. There was a war and this is no longer the case.Toontown wrote:You won't answer the very simple question I posed because I said "leftobot" a lot?Robert_S wrote:There might be a noteworthy point in that post, but I couldn't be arsed to look at the word "leftobot" more than twice, so I will forever be without an opinion of the posts actual content.Toontown wrote:I hesitate to ask, for fear of dislodging another avalanche of leftobot propaganda....but what the hell. Not the rug!

Oh, that's the leftobots' excuse?Robert_S wrote: Iraqi oil used to be a public sector thing, owned by the Iraqis themselves. There was a war and this is no longer the case.
Whatever. The oil stopped being "owned by the Iraqis themselves" (if it ever was) when Saddam seized power in 1979. By then the Ba'aths had been in de facto control of Iraq since 1968, with Saddam as the muscle. The oil was nationalized in 1972.
I do hope your cryptic little remark was not intended to convey the impression that Iraq's oil is being stolen. Buying oil concessions from the Iraq Oil Ministry is not stealing. There is nothing unusual about buying and selling oil concessions. It is the best way to maximize production and profits.
Running off on a tangent now, are you? Well, goodbye. Have a nice tangent run, or whatever.Robert_S wrote: Where are the WMDs?

As expected, your response to my question was completely inadequate bordering on fundamentally dishonest.

Can't think of a better term offhand, though.

Source?mistermack wrote:And now the US wants 1000 billion Dollars in oil to pay for it.
I'm pretty sure the Iraqi government is selling the oil at market prices. I'm also quite sure it's going to be a long time before they pump anywhere close to "1000 billion Dollars" of it. They'll be lucky if they can get output much above 50 billion dollars worth per year in the foreseeable future.
