Thanks Twinkie and sifaka. The mods involved were always doing what we thought best for the community at the time. We do talk a great deal among ourselves when this kind of thing happens and try to learn from it, from all the members involved and from each other so we can improve where we need to. I hope you'll have noticed that the staff are very willing to concede errors when we realise them, apologise and endeavor to make amends.

It looks like things are calming down a bit, so I think I'll give it another week or two and then will see if it's possible to revive this game sometime in September. I'll probably start the sign-up from scratch.

I really like playing, too. But just like I don't kick about getting a role I don't really like because now and then It's my turn to be the player with one foot in a bucket, I think of GMing as a payback for the people who run the games I love to play. Also, you get some insights into scum and town behavior when you GM that can't really be seen from a player's perspective.
