It wasn't that long. Although it was a bit predictable in places. It didn't bother me that much.
Well, it was 2 1/2 hours long, and about 1/2 hour to 45 minutes into the movie it's obvious what's going to happen at the end. Well, actually, after the first few minutes with that initial scene with Saito and Cobb, it was filler after that.

Yes. It's good enough. Better than the 2nd one and we'll just pretend the AVP films didn't happen.
:this: It was a fun few hours.

I watched "Catch me if you can" last night. I wasn't expecting much from it, but I really enjoyed it.

Went to see Toy Story 3 earlier but it was sold out. :(

It has some brilliant reviews.

They had a 4D Toy Story 3 ride at Hollywood Studios - it was pretty amazing - you tossed 3D paintballs, (for example) at characters on the screen, and if you hit them you scored points.

I just watched an old Michael Caine film called Pulp. I'd never heard of it, nor most of Caine's other films for that matter. But amazon recommended it to me based on other purchases and I got it used for only a couple bucks so I figured what the hell, may as well give it a try. I like Michael Caine and little by little am checking out his filmography. Glad I got this one. I thought it was funny, clever and entertaining. What I liked, also, was the subtlety. This may be a British thing, I'm not sure. But when a Hollywood film is being clever, it makes quite sure the audience knows it. "Look! Look! I'm being clever!" it says. It's often done in an obvious and self-conscious way. Not so here, I thought. This film was packed so full of wit charm and intelligence, but it seemed to take it all in stride like, "Well, yes, of course. This is simply the way things are done, dear boy."

Brief plot description: Caine plays a pulp fiction writer who finds himself in a set of circumstances not entirely unlike one of his novels.
Of possible interest to American viewers: Mickey Rooney puts in a particularly amusing turn here.
People think "queue" is just "q" followed by 4 silent letters.

But those letters are not silent.

They're just waiting their turn.

I saw "The Secret Lives of Pippa Lee", one of the best films I've seen in the recent years. A low budget picture about intense inner lives and split personalities. Produced by Brad Pitt (I'm impressed, actually he's doing this kind of stuff).

I shed manly, manly tears when Sam is reminiscing about Tess' interview.

Lady Huxley is attending a dreary little soiree organised by the Duchess of Sutherland on Saturday night,
so it is my intention to induldge in a cinematograph of which my dear Wife would not approve - to whit
30 Days of Night, about a tribe of vicious bloodsuckers.

I watched Arlington Road again on Friday with my dad and his gf neither of whom had seen it. What a great film it is: A drama /thriller.

I recommend it to anyone here - It stars Jeff Bridge and Tim Robbins

Has anyone seen this anti-Darwin film "Darwin: The Voyage That Shook the World"?

We have that on our Netflix queue. I should bump it up? (Actually, it's on instant view, so we don't have to wait. :ht: )
