We look forward to your your very detailed and doubtless considered review of all the RD.net staff at some point ... :eddy:

Followed by your application to become forum admin there. ;)

As for myself: To paraphrase Elvis Costello, I will keep my strong opinions to my chest ... :coffee:

I don't tend to hold grudges, and there's a lot of things I've said about staff members over there in the heat of the moment that I'd at least mute in some way now. I suspect the sentiment is mutual, though, so I won't fret too much about it.

But Redwhine can be something of an exception to that rule: he is practically pure filtered irritating bastard, with few redeeming qualities that likely exist as byproducts of a distilling process that can never increase the purity of irritating bastard upwards of 97%. I cannot even find it in me to start to fathom what might possess any RDF staff member to nominate and then instate this cretin as a moderator.

And considering an email that I got from an anonymous RDFer just a few months or so back:
You're welcome Heather. I don't always agree with how you go about things but I have always admired your smarts (?chutzpah) :-) Don't even speak to me about that odious little twat, Redwhine. I have loathed him from the moment he stuck his head out from under his rock (and my radar is very, very rarely wrong). I rarely let an opportunity go by the smack him and he loathes me in a way I don't think anyone on a message board ever has before. And don't think the Mods don't see right through him, too. Believe me (and I'm not betraying any confidences here I don't think?), they don't like him one bit. Can't speak for them all of course but in the course of discourse with at least four Mods over varying times and in various PMs on differing topics, they have left me in no doubt that my sentiments are definitely shared (perhaps not quite to the extend of my loathing for him though!!).
Just... meh... :what:
Then they for sudden joy did weep,
And I for sorrow sung,
That such a king should play bo-peep,
And go the fools among.
Prithee, nuncle, keep a schoolmaster that can teach
thy fool to lie: I would fain learn to lie.

Ayep, I can't fathom this decision either. :nono:

Pretty accurate description there, btw, lp.

I moved out of RD quite soon (and happily) after the invitation of one of the admins here (forum headhunting? ) Since then, I only browse from time to time... I really enjoy it here in Rationalia. It's fun and it's genuinely kind, not out of rules.
My congratulations to those in the Admin board to be able to get this kind of vibe in this forum. It shows. And the RD comments, just reminded me of telling you.

AFAIK, he wasn't nominated as such, but rather he applied during the previous round, and was earmarked for staffdom once circumstances a position became vacant:

Myself, I have positively truckloads (nay, container ship loads) of considered opinions on anyone and anything. Some of them might surprise you as well. But I just don't air them. Publicly. :ddpan:

Well, all I can say about this appointment is that I hope it doesn't lead to disappointment. :ddpan:

It's alright Kevin - you can think all you want about me - I know that the Dicky Dawk himself is on good terms with me, and that's what matters most.

(Yes, I know you weren't referring particularly to me - and perhaps weren't even thinking of me. I'm just toying... ;) )

So, has something happened to RD.net? :dono:
