When I was twelve I - Edit: I've change my mind about putting this on the internet at the moment, sorry - tried to run away and hide.
Yeah, I used to have a few problems.

Re: People Who Hang Themselves
I once slit my wrists after a night of drinking and heartbreak. I put rubber bands around my wrists to cut of the blood circulation so my veins would be easier to cut, luckily the knife wasn't sharp enough and I just ended up with a couple of scars and a terrified roommate.
I'm wild just like a rock, a stone, a tree
And I'm free, just like the wind the breeze that blows
And I flow, just like a brook, a stream, the rain
And I fly, just like a bird up in the sky
And I'll surely die, just like a flower plucked
And dragged away and thrown away
And then one day it turns to clay
It blows away, it finds a ray, it finds its way
And there it lays until the rain and sun
Then I breathe, just like the wind the breeze that blows
And I grow, just like a baby breastfeeding
And it's beautiful, that's life

And I'm free, just like the wind the breeze that blows
And I flow, just like a brook, a stream, the rain
And I fly, just like a bird up in the sky
And I'll surely die, just like a flower plucked
And dragged away and thrown away

Psychoserenity and Twoflower, I am truly glad that both of you did not succeed at doing yourselves in. I hope that both of you have found many reasons to feel good about your lives.

I am never going to hang myself but I do intend to be "hanging" around on this earth for a long long time
Just because more people believe Jesus is the son of God and not the son of Satan does not make it any truer.

Well, there might be a little suffering but you pass out quick. I think I would prefer it to shooting a bullet in the head. I am not into blood.
International disaster, gonna be a blaster
Gonna rearrange our lives
International disaster, send for the master
Don't wait to see the white of his eyes
International disaster, international disaster
Price of silver droppin' so do yer Christmas shopping
Before you lose the chance to score (Pembroke)

Time becomes relativistic very quickly when you're in a situation like that. Some of the "miraculous" feats done in combat can be attributed to the person having a sense of time that all of proportion with the people around him.Tero wrote:Well, there might be a little suffering but you pass out quick. Problem with suicide, from my point of view, is that the insurance companies won't pay out, and I'd hate to see all those premiums go to waste.

In the US you can get policies that exclude suicide for the first two years.Geoff wrote:Problem with suicide, from my point of view, is that the insurance companies won't pay out, and I'd hate to see all those premiums go to waste.
I've been there a couple of time. One time all I had to do was stand still, everything else would have happened without further assistance from me.When I was "missing" from the forum for a while, I was close to making the attempt at times.

A book is a version of the world. If you do not like it, ignore it; or offer your own version in return.

I would never have the nerve to kill myself. I can hardly cut my own toenails. And I know just how often I change my mind. ( or do I ? )
But if I actually did decide to, I would see it as an opportunity to get revenge on as many of my enemies as possible.
Buy a big gun and take 'em out, one after another, keeping one bullet for myself.
Polite, pleasant replies are advised.
