I'm afraid that's true and I don't think folks should join a team game if they're not going to bother to play.

There's one exception: we RatSkeppers enjoy flamboyant role-playing gamesmanship and I think several of us were hurt - I was - by some of the comments meted out to Skinny. We all play to win, but in the end, it's only a game and people take different approaches to it.
I thought that was pretty harsh also, I find skinny pretty creative. I must admit being scum was really fun, i don't know how you guys came as close as you did with no info.

I really should have kept with that first instinct but it was Useless's vote against you that convinced me otherwise. High risk strategy that paid off.
That one really felt okay to me. The strategy to leave sifaka alive another day so we could pop d0t. That one had me really nervous.
I was very nervous, too, but with sudden proof that there was a seer after all, I expected a doc to protect her. I didn't want us to lose that night kill.

It worked out ok, but it was very, very close.

Yeah, I felt bad about that afterwards. I sent him an apology by pm a couple days later. But, at the time it seemed to me that people were complaining about the images and roleplaying, putting votes on him, but he didn't realize there was a connection. I thought that day's lynch might have gone the other way.

You are gracious in victory. I admire that even more than your win :td:

I got to go to work. It was a great game to be part of. Thanks for keeping me around long enough to learn something useful.

I don't think there were any absentee players as such - several players were severely handicapped by the timing of the rounds. Sifaka and I are in NZ, several others are in Oz... the Aussies just can't post late in the day rounds on this schedules, Sifaka usually couldn't, I only tended to get on with half an hour to go maximum.

This is not a complaint, as I am sure the same thing happens to NH players in games run by SH people, but you have to be aware of this before labelling people as rudely abandoning the game.

And I agree about Skinny... we're used to a game which is more about just having a laugh rather than getting too serious about tells and voting patterns (although they're still a big part of it).

Finally - I really don't like subbing in new players, I don't think it's fair. I think if a person can't really participate, they should just be left there as a drone - and tough shit on their teammates if it means they have unused powers or votes.

It was an error if we'd known there wasnt a doctor.

You've signed up for the RatSkep game, I see, Magicziggy. Look forward to meeting you again there!

Blip I've got to ask

A) how did you know I changed my online status?
B) How come you didn't try and pull oblivion into a voting block against me?

Blip, Likewise. I'm looking forward to something a bit different.

Thanks to J.A.P. I thought it was well designed given that I have nothing to compare it too.
And, Oblivion, I have picked up some useful tips from you.
