Post a Line From a Song You're Listening to Right Now
Re: Post a Line From a Song You're Listening to Right Now
who are we?
where are we?
when are we?
why are we?
who are we?
where are we?
why, why, why?
I can't forgive you
and I can't forget
where are we?
when are we?
why are we?
who are we?
where are we?
why, why, why?
I can't forgive you
and I can't forget

I've been searching for my dream
A hundred times today
I build them up, you knock them down,
Like they were made of clay,
A hundred times today
I build them up, you knock them down,
Like they were made of clay,

Saving up the birds in hand
while in the bush the others land.
Take what we can before the man
says it's time to go.
Each to his own way I'll go mine.
Best of luck in what you find.
But for your own sake remember times
we used to know.

Whenever I get to feel this way,
Try to find new words to say,
I think about the bad old days
We used to know.
Nights of winter turn me cold --
Fears of dying, getting old.
We ran the race and the race was won
By running slowly.

Saying I'm sorry is the same apologising.
Unless you're at a funeral.

Over prescribed,
under the mister,
we had survived to
turn on the history channel,
and ask our esteemed panel,
"why are we alive?"
and here's how they replied:
"You're what happens when two substances collide...
and by all accounts you really should've died."

What I've found with a few discussions I've had lately is this self-satisfaction that people express with their proffessed open mindedness. In realty it ammounts to wilful ignorance and intellectual cowardice as they are choosing to not form any sort of opinion on a particular topic. Basically "I don't know and I'm not going to look at any evidence because I'm quite happy on this fence."
