So.... Seen Any Bad Movies Lately?

Post by leo-rcc » Wed Apr 07, 2010 5:28 pm

What a coincidence, yes I have.

Into the blue. A "gripping thriller" about divers that are being forced by a druglord to dive up the cargo of a sunken airplane. Not even Jessica Alba's hot looks could save that movie.

I needed this thread.

Why haven't I created this yet?

Last bad film I saw was Green Zone. My one word review. Boring.

I saw The Eclipse. Not even Ciaran Hinds great acting could save it from getting the same review as The Green Zone.

"The Men Who Stare at Goats". Stupid premise, incoherent plot, trite ending.

Endlessly. They had that lame remake of "Land of the Lost" on yesterday as well. C. Thomas Howell, almost totally dried out, was the centerpiece of that cluster fuck.

Yesterday I watched 'Ninja Assassin' - basically an old-school style one-guy-fights-dozens-at-a-time martial arts flick with a plot that only serves to connect a series of brutal, bloody combat scenes.

I think I'll watch it again before I send it back to Netflix. :)
Who needs a signature anyway?

Saw Robin Hood today. It was average in every sense of the word.
The dialogue was a bit ridiculous. None of the characters stuck out. The bad guy didn't have a point to any thing he done. The Commodus type King was uninspired. The "merry men" were the same character multiplied by 4. Russell Crowe was Russell Crowe. Maid Marion tried to play the role of the strong warrior woman but to be honest she looks like the type of woman who can't even darn a sock let alone swing a sword. The battles, lacking the dismemberment, decapitations and blood spraying we've grown used to since Braveheart, are pretty tame and lack any bite and one scene was a complete rip-off of the opening of Saving Private Ryan.
That is, to say, I didn't like it.
