What my "friend" thinks of Palin

Post by pontius-ft » Sat May 08, 2010 1:49 am

What do you think of this statement made by someone I know on a social web site. I said that Palin is a quitter and that she should have at least finished her term. I also said that Palin and Glen Beck are two of the top people I can't stand. Rip this shit to shreds.
Some Idiot wrote: I admire Palin and Beck (just got finished reading a little more of her book too). I love how Palin is pro-life. Her daughter is the poster child for the pro-life movement in Alaska. She resigned from her office because of the fact that the tax payers of Alaska were paying for her to go in and defend herself instead of helping the people of Alaska. I think it was a bold and noble move on her part!

This person admires blithering idiots? I dunno, call me old-fashioned but I kinda value intelligence :dono:
People think "queue" is just "q" followed by 4 silent letters.

But those letters are not silent.

They're just waiting their turn.

Couldn't she have helped the people of Alaska by helping the people of Alaska? And what better way to do that but being governor? :ask:

But she could help her bank account more by becoming a guest speaker for ridiculous amounts of money, so she quit.

Which probably was the best thing for Alaska anyway.

Pro-life?
She's also pro-gun/pro-hunting. Bit of a hypocrit if you ask me.

Are you sure you meant

What my "friend" thinks about Palin

and not

What my friend "thinks" about Palin

I don't believe you can consider something as ludicrous as what your web friend said a thought

Levi Johnston has said caribou barbie is only interested in cashing in on new found fame. She couldn't do that being governor of Alaska.

But some her luster among the teabaggers is starting to fade a bit.

But what's this shit about tax payers paying for her to defend herself? I thought the public officials decided what to do with tax payer money, not the tax payers.

That's from her resignation speech.

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2009/07/0 ... 25557.html
Every one - all 15 of the ethics complaints have been dismissed. We've won! But it hasn't been cheap - the State has wasted THOUSANDS of hours of YOUR time and shelled out some two million of YOUR dollars to respond to "opposition research" - that's money NOT going to fund teachers or troopers - or safer roads. And this political absurdity, the "politics of personal destruction" ... Todd and I are looking at more than half a million dollars in legal bills in order to set the record straight. And what about the people who offer up these silly accusations? It doesn't cost them a dime so they're not going to stop draining public resources - spending other peoples' money in their game.

...

My choice is to take a stand and effect change - not hit our heads against the wall and watch valuable state time and money, millions of your dollars, go down the drain in this new environment. Rather, we know we can effect positive change outside government at this moment in time, on another scale, and actually make a difference for our priorities - and so we will, for Alaskans and for Americans.

So they don't have to pay legal fees or whatever if she resigns?

She's just playing the martyr. "Hounded out of office by the nasty liberals." Nothing like what the birthers are trying to do to BHO, of course, since Silly Sarah is innocent of all charges.

Well this person says Palin is a strong woman, and my point over and over is wouldn't a strong woman be able finish her term through the "nasty liberals", if they were really that nasty. Didn't she have like a year to go? Wouldn't finishing that year lend her a little more credibility and then no one would be able to hold that she quit over her head. I guess she expected her dumb fans to back whatever dumb decisions she makes. And she was right.

Seems obvious to me that her only interest is more cash. She will do whatever necessary to improve her bank balance and if inciting rebellion based on unjustified fearmongering improves her sales figures then so be it. She gives not a shite.
At least I'm housebroken.
