It may be apt now to reprise this creation of Thinking Aloud's:

Then they for sudden joy did weep,
And I for sorrow sung,
That such a king should play bo-peep,
And go the fools among.
Prithee, nuncle, keep a schoolmaster that can teach
thy fool to lie: I would fain learn to lie.

It is the force of gravatar that causes everything to fall to the ground, my dear.
I'll have to study the effects of this force with respect to women's underwear.
I'm sure Josh and Andrew will discover that in short order. :hehe:

I bet you it won't be too long before gravatar is a fossil.

A message from the CEO of Timonen Airways

For the last several years Timonen Airways has become one of the world's leading airline corporations. Our fleet of RDF Boeing 747s have for years carried our many satisfied customers around the globe in comfort, with our specially designed seats, wide choice of in-flight movies, and food that was nothing like what you would expect from airline food, to ensure that everyone would have an enjoyable flight.

Image

However, we had so many customers that this made an upgrade to our services essential. As a result, we have sold our fleet of 747s to replace them with a new and improved air transportation system. We realise that this has caused some inconvenience through our inability to provide services for the last two months, but I think you'll all agree that the wait has been worth it, as today we are pleased to unveil our new and improved model of aircraft which shall be taking our airfleet into the future:

Image

As you can see, such an exciting improvement was clearly worth the wait and disruption. While many people may have been frightened of change and disagreed with our decision, history will show that it was the correct direction for the company to take in order to deal with the recent changes in consumer demand. Our new aeroplanes are not only pretty, but come with some exciting new features not previously seen in our old jet aircraft.

Gravabooks

Under the old flight system, passengers were able to bring reading material on board the plane. This system has been scrapped and replaced with a new, improved, and convenient scheme, known as Gravabooks. Here is some information about the exciting new system that is Gravabooks, that should make the bringing of reading material onboard so much easier.

From the Gravabooks web$ite:

"Often it can be difficult to find your favourite book; in some cases, it can take as long as two minutes. This is two minutes which can possibly mean the difference between catching and missing a plane. Even if it doesn't, it is still two whole minutes of your life that you will never get back. However, Gravabooks has a solution to this predicament, with a brilliant scheme allowing you to pick up a nice book at any airport, without the hassle of packing. Simply send your favourite book in the mail to Gravabooks, and from that day forth, no matter what airport you go to, one of our staff will be on hand to give your book to you as you board the plane, so that you don't have to go to all the trouble of having to find it for yourself every single time you catch a plane. It's like being able to reach over to your bookshelf back at home while you're looking down at the countryside from a hundred metres in the air!"

Clocks

Our new aeroplanes will now include built in clocks, so you can know what time it is!

Safety

Biplanes fly much closer to the ground than jet aircraft, which means that in the unlikely event that something goes wrong, you won't be falling from anywhere near as high as you would have on one of our old, obsolete planes. Also, the improved, slimlined operational range of our planes means that we will no longer be conducting potentially perilous flights across the ocean, so there will be no more cause to be alarmed at the possibility of crashing in the sea and drowning!

Less passengers per plane

On our old aeroplanes, there were so many people onboard that passengers would often be swept up in idle gossip and chitchat. Now, there no need to worry about being distracted from your contemplation of the wonders of air travel, as our much smaller passenger compartments will ensure that you will be able to focus on the flight in peace!

Red Paint

Our aeroplanes are now coated in the finest crimson pigment, which all passengers will now have the opportunity of admiring. We also plan to expand to other colours, too!

Slower speeds

Our planes now travel at a much more graceful velocity, so that you can really admire the scenery. Now you no longer have to worry about missing seeing interesting landmarks because the plane's travelling too fast!

Lose weight

Now with Timonen Airways, not only can you travel to your destination faster than you would by horse and buggy, but you can also get there fitter as well! Unlike our old planes, which could take off by themselves, our new planes have a special 'passenger exercise feature', whereby all the passengers work together in a team to push the plane down the runway. By the time the plane is moving fast enough to be able to take off, you'll have burned off countless calories and given your heart a real workout - so now you can fly without neglecting your cardiovascular health!

Education

Ever wondered how planes work? Now you get to find out! Unlike other companies, which make people wait for them to finish building their planes before letting people fly on them, we have adopted a scheme of 'in flight construction', whereby our skilled engineers will finish building the plane as you fly! Not only does this mean that you don't have to wait for all that pesky safety testing to be finished, but watching a plane come together as you fly on it can also be a life-changing learning experience!

These are only some of the improvements taking place at Timonen Airways. We at Timonen Airways are all very excited by these new changes, so hop aboard today and see them for yourself! We look forward to seeing how they improve your air travel experience.

And I for sorrow sung,

And go the fools among.

Here I go officially - about to tuck into a huge platter of my own arse.

My one and only comment on the brand spanking new RD.net - taking not only a well-deserved whack again at the despicable treatment of 80,000 Forummers by the unholy trinity but also praising the apparent lack of moderation in the new setup - has been deleted.

Not admonished, not 'alternatively threaded', but gone as if it never had been. Ah well, at least it wasn't an entire few years' worth as some here know about...

Fucking censorious arseholes.

Ok, let the 'I told you so's' begin...I deserve it. What a fucking muppet.
