Well, I'm veritably coming in my pants at the thought of setting up a gravatar and syncing my calendar with the site's - and I can also see so clearly now that it was necessary to abolish the forum and erect another version of the front page in its place.

I now appreciate how all the angst, arrogance, professional incompetance, and downright obnoxiousness, followed by mockable delays have all been worth it in the end. I never fully appreciated the type of masterpiece that would be unveiled.

But perhaps I'm a touch misguided in my cynicism… We shall see…

Thanks for the headsup, Topsy. You never know; someone from here may become enthused with the new site.

I am not being sarcastic. Please believe me.

Seems like people are already enthused, particularly the more 'involved' they get, critical or supportive.

Nah. The rest of us might be banned on Day One. You'll be "pre-banned".

I think that language has a lot to do with interfering in our relationship to direct experience. A simple thing like metaphor will allows you to go to a place and say 'this is like that'. Well, this isn't like that. This is like this.

Twiddledumb and Twiddledumber (in the context of this particular charade)?
Then they for sudden joy did weep,
And I for sorrow sung,
That such a king should play bo-peep,
And go the fools among.
Prithee, nuncle, keep a schoolmaster that can teach
thy fool to lie: I would fain learn to lie.
