A very well presented video. Added to my favourites.

A book is a version of the world. If you do not like it, ignore it; or offer your own version in return.

Good stuff!
Thanks.

Thanks.

Thanks for that, that's a new one. I've subscribed to his channel - his other vids are also excellent
It's a piece of piss to be cowiz, but it's not cowiz to be a piece of piss. Or something like that.

Re: Open-mindedness
There's one bit about the video I don't like... First he (rightly so) bashes using personal anecdotes as evidence for illogical events. However, he goes on to use people he has encountered as examples of what he is criticizing, thereby generalizing a bit. Surely this can't be the best fully elaborated argument against such thinking?

His undefined "friends" are examples of people who have behaved as he illustrates. "Stereotyping", perhaps, but accurate to the empirical sample I've encountered.FrigidSymphony wrote:There's one bit about the video I don't like... Re: Open-mindedness
That's if he even encountered these people or they're hypothetical. Either way I don't know how else you could illustrate the point but by people you've encountered.

Re: Open-mindedness
The arguments are ubiquitous. Clothing them as "friends" is just a conversational device.Animavore wrote:That's if he even encountered these people or they're hypothetical. Either way I don't know how else you could illustrate the point but by people you've encountered.

Fuck me, that's brilliant. My brother has come home for vacation and I just saw him for the first time in one and a half year. I think this video will be very useful for him.
Wow. It really hammered the points in nicely
And I've never even seen this QualiaSoup guy before. Fantastic!
