Sort of, except you actually have things like aim and recoil in Fallout 3.

This Fallout is a load of gee. It's ok as a RPG but as a FPS it's rubbish. You end up trying to avoid bad guys more than engage them and you can't even dodge and weave like in other games meaning that if you come into a room full of lads the chances are you'll die meaning you're stopping and starting all the time which really takes the fun out of it.

i agree it can be frustrating, it could have benefited from a more fluid combat system like oblivion, but it is still an enjoyable game.

Really, Ani, you're having trouble with it?

Also, it's not a shooter, it's an RPG with guns.

That said, you can still use cover in a primitive way against all ranged enemies, very similar to how you would in a game like Halo. And don't be afraid to run like a sissy girl. The further you get away from Megaton the Harder the game gets.

B Double A speaks the troof here.

Fallout 3 really rewards you for exploring. You get skill books, exp., schematics for special weapons and regular weapons and ammo.. As a result of the exp. and skill books, you get Improved skills which will increase your ability to whoop-ass on your enemies. The game seems difficult early on, but improves from about level 7 onwards.

Also, I don't know how you're playing the game, but V.A.T.S. is your friend. The game can be played without it, but it really seems that it was designed to be used with it. Personally, I never got tired of watching my enemies part with their heads in slow-motion.

You mean the hole in the ground where Megaton used to be? :hehe:

I'm getting used to it now. Started exploring to make myself more powerful and so I can pick locks and access computers etc.. I'm going to be well stocked from now on that I have more money. I went back to an earlier save and decided I was going to play the bad guy. It's more rewarding.

Oh yeah and after I returned to Megaton I called the sole survivor, Moira, (who despite being scarred with radiation burns retained her optimism and effervescence) a "sticky-face freak) before putting her out of her misery like Ol' Yeller with a shotgun.

yeah, to be honest, not blowing Megaton up just left me with lots of annoying quests from Moira, so you're better off... :levi:
