It's okay to challenge ideas. It's not okay to attack people. I've found that adults don't have a problem with this concept.NineOneFour wrote:Can I call his argument "stupid"?Gawdzilla wrote:The word "Stupid" in the post above mine. Claiming that an article posted nearly a year ago has any relationship to current legislation isn't stupid. But it isn't a very useful argument.

Well, then that's what you should have said in the post that simply said, "Stupid". You're on the right track, 914, but the spirit of the forum rule is "be impeccable".NineOneFour wrote: Claiming that an article posted nearly a year ago has any relationship to current legislation isn't stupid. Excellently stated. Talk about the ideas, don't bother with the person who presents them.NineOneFour wrote:Fair enough.

It's really easy. Assume you and the other person are both heavily armed and on a hair trigger. Bloodshed will result at any excuse. So be precise in your language and consider how to say something about the idea without involving the person that said it. This is the "Samurai Rule" if you've never heard of it before.Surendra Darathy wrote:Well, then that's what you should have said in the post that simply said, "Stupid". The world is overpopulated, Gawdzilla, if you will be kind enough to extend the metaphor, and endangered species are not endangered in any relative sense, including humans. An internet forum is The Boy In The Bubble.Gawdzilla wrote:Bloodshed will result at any excuse.

Actually I encourage people NOT to get vaccinations. We do have too many people and not getting them is one way for people to help reduce the population. I'm wild just like a rock, a stone, a tree
And I'm free, just like the wind the breeze that blows
And I flow, just like a brook, a stream, the rain
And I fly, just like a bird up in the sky
And I'll surely die, just like a flower plucked
And dragged away and thrown away
And then one day it turns to clay
It blows away, it finds a ray, it finds its way
And there it lays until the rain and sun
Then I breathe, just like the wind the breeze that blows
And I grow, just like a baby breastfeeding
And it's beautiful, that's life

And I'm free, just like the wind the breeze that blows
And I flow, just like a brook, a stream, the rain
And I fly, just like a bird up in the sky
And I'll surely die, just like a flower plucked

My mother was one of those "childhood diseases are inevitable and you might as well get them over." I nearly died when I was three from that line of thought.Pluto2 wrote:I didnt get any vaccinations until I went to uni.

It's when that kind of hat has a really lo-ong bill on it that I begin to worry. I can't read the inscription. It's either something about a "Big Dog" or something about "GI Joe". Seeing somebody wear camo in plain sight is also somewhat disturbing to me.Gawdzilla wrote:That hat is a multi-layered joke.Surendra Darathy wrote:No. Having seen your latest avatar, I have no doubt that you are as sober as a judge.
Maybe that's one of the jokes.
Hint: The rest of us call them "lectures".Pluto2 wrote:I didnt get any vaccinations until I went to uni.

It's a Larry the Cable Guy hat, "Git'n-R-Done". Some of us know what's funny about that.Surendra Darathy wrote:It's when that kind of hat has a really lo-ong bill on it that I begin to worry.
