A human never breaks the sound barrier, it is broken by the leading edge of whatever the human has (whip, plane, car etc.)

Though if you chuck a bloke from a high altitude balloon, I believe the thinner atmosphere is thin enough to allow faster than sound speeds. (You wouldn't get a sonic blast though)

Sorry - I've got zilla's disease - I missed that answer - my bad.

I knew that was too easy - it keeps a classroom of kids guessing for ages though!

A person who can’t speak wants to buy a toothbrush. By imitating the action of brushing one’s teeth, he successfully expresses himself to the shopkeeper, and the purchase is done.

Now if there is a blind man who wishes to buy a pair of sunglasses, how should he express himself?

The current speed record for sky-diving is 614 mph (head down at high altitude) as compared with the speed of sound, which is 768 mph. However, I am pretty sure that the SoS is slower in less dense air, so you may be right. :dono:

Unless he were dumb as well, I would imagine he would just say, "Can I have a pair of sunglasses please?"
