Gawdzilla, "Need" doesn't have anything to do with it. Neither does "should."

Navel gazing should be done from the outside. Just sayin'.

RuleBritannia, You are absolutely correct. You completely do not understand what I'm saying to you. However, fear not...not that there's anything to be afraid of...some of this stuff has a way of sneaking up on you. It's one of the reasons I often use that line of Muhammed Ali's, "I can float like a butterfly and sting like a bee."

PS: You do know who Muhammed Ali is, right?

Gawdzilla, If this were, in fact, about navel gazing, the gazing would best be done from a place where one could gaze at one's navel. However, this has nothing to do with navel gazing.

You are limited to one viewpoint, I see. So, you can't imagine any navel gazing except gazing AT your navel?

NO, over again I had not felt hunger .... feeling hunger did not make food (or being replete) any better You are talking about concepts here .

The most you can say is that we have words for two things and our concept of them is diametrically opposed .
this is true only because we choose the words and the concepts ..it has no relevance in RL .

Gawdzilla, For some reason, you keep wanting to bring up navel gazing. No, Dude, I can conceive of gazing at the navel(s) of others. You're not going to succeed at attributing words, thoughts or ideas to me no matter how hard you try to twist your mind into something that might do that.

Now then, is there anything you'd really like to talk about?

Not with you.

Feck, OK, fine, you either have or have not felt hunger, and you got something out of the experience(s). As large-brained creatures, we can and do use words and concepts to describe, as best we can, those things that are parts of our lives. That has huge relevance in RL.

I think the main problem is that you don't know what your saying, your not making any sense, as proven by this last comment which is full of non-sequiturs.

Well, the great thing about Muhammad Ali is that instead of just talking about it, he let crowds of people watch him actually float like a butterfly and sting like a bee. This involved his actually having an attention span.

RuleBritannia, Yes, we do agree that is what "you think." At least we agree on something. As for that last comment, it was a legitimate question I'd ask of somebody who says he's 23. I've been finding lately that I've run into young people who've never heard of such things as the Haight-Ashbury, Altamount, Huey Newton and the Black Panthers, etc. That's neither good nor bad...it's just one of those things that happens with time.

Surendra, I was wondering when you would show up here. I haven't seen much of you on that other thread. Well, at least we agree about one thing...Muhammed Ali was (and still is) great. However, I wouldn't limit my description of his greatness to just one thing.
