The more of your answers I read the more convinced I am that Islam is a very mean and cruel religion.
I'm wild just like a rock, a stone, a tree
And I'm free, just like the wind the breeze that blows
And I flow, just like a brook, a stream, the rain
And I fly, just like a bird up in the sky
And I'll surely die, just like a flower plucked
And dragged away and thrown away
And then one day it turns to clay
It blows away, it finds a ray, it finds its way
And there it lays until the rain and sun
Then I breathe, just like the wind the breeze that blows
And I grow, just like a baby breastfeeding
And it's beautiful, that's life

Strange title for a thread: Questions to Muslim Mandelson.

You don’t answer questions that you feel uncomfortable with. You cite futile examples attempting to refute what people with demonstrably far more intellectual prowess than you have exhibited thus far have to say, and yet you have the temerity to say in an earlier reply to me:
my mind is open to all ideas. i am no bigot who refuses to hear what critics have to say.
if anyone can convince me of facts which are against my beliefs then im willing to change
Clearly you don’t listen. There are people here who know more about Islam than you will ever know. If you’d care to listen, I’m sure they will make sense to you. Me? I haven’t read the Qur’an, but I don’t read The Daily Sport either, though I know shite when I see it.

In 13 posts you have gone from “i hope you dont mind muslims on this forum” to a stance that seems increasingly to proselytise the evil religion that you have adopted. You will get nothing but scorn if you don’t treat the people here with the respect that you as a Muslim shouldn’t even offer to us Infidels and Apostates under the direction of your malevolent god. I suggest you start answering some questions after considering their content rather than brushing them, and knowledge, under the carpet as your faith encourages.

I have read the qu'ran.

Have you read The God Delusion?
Have you read The Satanic Verses?
If not, would you be prepared to, seeing as how you claim such an open mind?

Do you agree with apostate ex-muslims being threatened with death?
Do you agree with apostate ex-muslims being driven from their homes and ostracised by their communities?
Do you agree with female genital mutilation?
Do you agree with young women that have been gang-raped being beaten, imprisoned, or even stoned to death?
Do you agree with 'honour-killings'?
If you disagree with any of these things, all of which regularly occur in parts of the world, justified by islam, do you speak publicly against them?

I think that language has a lot to do with interfering in our relationship to direct experience. A simple thing like metaphor will allows you to go to a place and say 'this is like that'. Well, this isn't like that. This is like this.

I kept searching and asking; and was just was bored with all other ways and
really needed something alive and new and smashing to make my life truly explosive.
Well, here I am. I found Islam. Its better than fireworks. It makes you so alive. Its so peaceful near God of Quran.
What a profoundly disingenuous answer. Listen to yourself for fuck's sake... Islam is true becuase it makes you feel more alive and its exciting? Thats why you aren't a Hindu or Christian? I was expecting faith, personal revelation, the Quaran, or a logical connection to Allah. You instead proudly strut around in the Emperor's birthday gown. This is why I can't take most religious follows seriously.

:banghead:

That being said I have found new god. It makes me feel alive, wonderful and it makes my life truly explosive. Its better than fireworks, its something new each time you worship it, and you feel peaceful afterwards. Well, here I am. All praise sex.
I can live with doubt, and uncertainty, and not knowing. I think it's much more interesting to live not knowing than to have answers which might be wrong. [...] I don’t feel frightened by not knowing things, by being lost in a mysterious universe without having any purpose, which is the way it really is, as far as I can tell, possibly. It doesn’t frighten me. - Richard Feynman
