So with the inspiration of this thread, we downloaded all of The Good Life and Auf Weidersehen Pet. Awesome!!!

I have to say The Good Life *really* holds up well... very sweet and some great lines. Richard Briers is a bit Michael Palin-ish and Felicity Kendall is way cute. Lovin' it!

Also got some Two Ronnies which was not quite as funny as I had remembered. Ah well. Porridge is much better I think.
I think - therefore I am atheist

Yeah the humour does hold up well, doesn't it! I loved the line "I'm not a woman.. I'm a Barbara!", as she poured the gravy all over herself after having torn her posh frock. :funny:

And too many of Margo to quote, but the "Sound of Music" episode was absolutely priceless! :funny: :funny:

If you're going beyond Sitcoms then Alas Smith & jones could be brilliant.

I was a bit too young for Not the Nine o'Clock News, but some of the skits they have on youtube etc. are just brilliant. Best cast ever, too.

And I'd throw in Have I Got News For You & They Think It's All Over. I really miss not getting those over here (if they're still running).

HIGNFY is on youtube... Look for the episode with Brian Blessed hosting - it's a corker! The regular panelists didn't know what had hit 'em.

Also, there's lots of other "panel shows" about on youtube... QI is great fun, Would I lie to You?, Mock the Week and the Buzzcocks as well.

(Yes - that's all I do is watch YouTube! ;) TV is a thing of the past for me since free-to-air decided to only broadcast sport and ads for phone-sex)

That episode was by far the most brilliant piece of quiztime derailing I've seen in my entire life. I was in tears of laughter halfway through the show.

QI is great fun, Mock the week is okay, Buzzcocks used to be a lot funnier then the last series I watched.

I don't think anyone has mentioned Spaced yet, bloody brilliant.

At least I'm housebroken.
