I don't have Islam or Muslims or any other religion/religious people. Why should I hate people I don't know? In high school I had some friends who were exchange students from the Middle East, and they were practicing Muslims. We got a long really well and had a lot of fun together.

Why do you assume we would hate Muslims?

I do hate islam. I hate the very idea of a human being giving away their free-will and decision making process to something outside of themselves that they do not understand, and (more to the point) do not care to understand, that they merely 'believe'. I hate the concept of submission to a god, a religion, a creed, a cult, a fucking nonsense derived from wishful thinking and the wish for earthly power.

I hate every other religion equally.

I have no hatred at all for muslims. I have known many and been close friends with a few. I have drunk myself stupid with an Egyptian barman that was quite happy to sup brandy every night but made himself deliberately sick when he found he had accidentally eaten pork - what the fuck is that all about? I considered him a friend and had many interesting and constructive arguments with him.

We have one life. One chance to experience whatever there is to experience here. Why buy into a belief that restricts the very few choices we have? All religions are man-made and they are among the most hateful, despicable things that our species has ever invented.

I don't submit to my government. I tolerate them most of the time. I obey their laws (mostly) because I don't want to end up in jail but I don't submit to them.

But you are forgetting one important distinction between governments and god. Governments exist. God does not. God is an invention of primitive minds unable to comprehend their universe. God is used as a tool of power and control over others by the evil and corrupt. There is nothing beyond this life. I refuse to waste my life on some fucked-up pipe-dream of heavenly reward and I despise those that seek to force me to do so against my will.

Actually, yes I can. The great thing about being an Atheist is that I get to decide what is morally acceptable. I am the arbiter of what I believe is right or wrong. I don't give two shits if, say, female genital mutilation is a cultural norm in a different society. It is still a vile, cruel, unnecessary, and reprehensible act and those who advocate such violence against women are morally inferior.

every society has its own laws. in some european countries, you can marry a girl of 14, in UK this is illegal.

In Korea it is perfectly legal to torture a dog or cat to death because it is believed to make their meat "tastier". Does that mean those of us who view such acts as atrocious should turn a blind eye because it is acceptable in that society? Of course not! Just because something is legal doesn't mean it it is moral.

Second, Americans aren't emigrating to Muslim countries to use superior social systems and academic structures for their benefit while trying to subvert their host's society. Third, democracy is in fact objectively preferable to Islam-derived laws and social standards, like shariah. It's not a question of "my view against your view", it's a question of "civilization against barbarism".

Rather, you have chosen to belong to a club who has some rather nasty things to say about me as a homosexual man. The rules that you have CHOSEN to follow state (among other things) "And if two (men) of you commit it, then hurt them both;". You CHOOSE to follow this rule presumably because you find it good.
