Re: Dune 2.0 Game Thread
I have a lot of schoolwork that's kind of piled high at the moment and I need to finish the majority of it tonight so I can't really do a very thorough examination of the suspects. Whoever is going down tonight should probably have the block vote from all the innocents. I'm a bit worried about not killing a Harkkonen tonight but I'm even more worried about killing the swordmaster.
Re: Dune 2.0 Game Thread
That was my fault. MAT wanted to investigate sifaka. I didn't think about 95 getting killed that night, I was only thinking about which investigation would give us the most information. Bad case of tunnel vision on my part.irreligionist wrote:Yes, and seriously why the frack would one choose to investigate 95theses? I wouldn't have... it should have been apparent that 95theses was going to be killed by scum overnight. I'm reading that wiki... it says masons don't usually have other abilities.heyzeus wrote:I have to admit, though, the amount of time that MAT took to post those messages was suspicious. Why couldn't noncredo have posted them herself if she knew exactly where to find them?

Re: Dune 2.0 Game Thread
Hmmm... ok..... the logic in the supposed PM's between noncredo and MAT does NOT stack up:
Please explain.. very quickly...
This PM would have to have been written by noncredo, as he was the sacrificial lamb... thus that would make MAT the seer. So right off the bat the identities and roles is not being kept hidden - which should have happened if you were legit. Then it goes on to say that MAT (the supposed seer) would be next to die but would get one investigation in before hand... bullshit!! If MAT were a seer and was going to be killed by scum then the investigation would NOT happen.Guess I should have seen his death coming, but oh well. Looks like I'm the sacraficial lamb for today so far. If it comes down to me being killed today, then I was thinknig that I should tell people who you are and what your abilities are so once they see I am innocent they will trust you. Let me know what you think. You may be next to die that night, but at least you'll get one investigation in before hand. On the plus side, between the two of us, we have three votes so depending on how the others vote, we could have a chance to reverse their decision and choose someone else.
Please explain.. very quickly...
Re: Dune 2.0 Game Thread
Those are PM's I sent to MAT. I didn't know he wanted to keep the identities secret when I sent them. I really didn't think it mattered much at this point since one of is more than likely going to die today or tonight, or maybe both. Either way, our identities weren't really my biggest concern so I sent them and MAT probably just forwarded them without looking at them too much.
Re: Dune 2.0 Game Thread
That's just plain odd. As the truthsayer 95Theses was obviously going to be the next victim.noncredo wrote:That was my fault. MAT wanted to investigate sifaka. Re: Dune 2.0 Game Thread
Oh.. and another thing... if you two were masons then if one of you had declared as such, back when it would have been useful to the team i.e. when cookiejon and 95theses were alive, you could have been investigated/truthsayed and found to be innocent, thus bringing TWO people into the established innocent team.
It is not stacking up. Not one little bit.

Re: Dune 2.0 Game Thread
That makes no sense... if you two were legit then it DOES matter who the seer is... the non-seer (noncredo) would be no bigger a target to scum than any other vanilla townie.noncredo wrote:Those are PM's I sent to MAT. Re: Dune 2.0 Game Thread
I saw our names mentioned earlier as being suspect for not posting much, but it seems they have narrowed it down a bit and our names have been dropped. Not sure whether to come out now with my status, leaving out the role and let 95 test it or to stay quiet another day and see what happens during this day round and next night round.
Also what did you mean by come out with your status but leaving out your role?

I'm going to unvote normal.
Town, please don't start panicking. The game started with 21 people. I can't see there being more than 4 starting scum especially given that they had a recruit ability. So far 4 have been killed. I think we are dealing with one lone scum. If we screw up the lynch today, and odds are that we will, it won't be the end of the game.
Masons aren't necessarily of town alignment. They could be 2 town. They could be 2 scum. There could be 1 town and 1 scum.
MAT and nocredo, were you told one another's alignment by oblivion?

I hadn't got a chance to read them full at all, only very briefly. I'm going to take a look now though.irreligionist wrote: Has everyone fully read the noncredo/MAT story that has emerged today? Is it in keeping with these dune mafia games to have two innocents allowed to PM each other? Is this a massively ballsy effort to confuse us, have us lynch an innocent, then with the overnight kill the scum win (we don't know how many more scum there are out there) ?

I meant my ability and allegiance, but not revealing my character.heyzeus wrote:I saw our names mentioned earlier as being suspect for not posting much, but it seems they have narrowed it down a bit and our names have been dropped. No, I wasn't. Only the role and that she is the young Fremen destined to become my wife.

Revealing your roles might actually be helpful right now.
