The world is a thing of utter inordinate complexity and richness and strangeness that is absolutely awesome. I mean the idea that such complexity can arise not only out of such simplicity, but probably absolutely out of nothing, is the most fabulous extraordinary idea. And once you get some kind of inkling of how that might have happened, it's just wonderful. And . . . the opportunity to spend 70 or 80 years of your life in such a universe is time well spent as far as I am concerned.

Mwahahahaha, no we wont!

I think the best strategy now that we have 4 people cleared is that you four people discuss among you who seems most likely guilty and me and the other possible innocents will throw our votes in with you to show support for the right side. I don't think anyone else should instigate any lynchings as that would seem suspicious. Have a read through the last few days, and I'm sure you will come up with something.

Let us think the unthinkable, let us do the undoable, let us prepare to grapple with the ineffable itself, and see if we may not eff it after all.

At least we know we can trust 95Theses' truth statements now. RIP 95, your death will not be in vein! I had a feeling DP was no good.

Get cracking with that accusing finger of yours!
Root out the baddies. I'm sure we must have lots of clues now.

So who's becoming sandworm food today? I vote noncredo for now because I think she's Harkkonen. If we can find someone better, that will change.

Who are the four people? 95theses cleared me, ksen and heyzeus only

I think everyone can do some sleuthing and offer opinions. Those with town will help town.

everyone: please list those you suspect, starting with the most suspicious, finishing with least suspicious... please give reasons (even if hunch, or single post) for why you suspect or don't suspect each person

miss ann thrope: please can you tell us why you have really only posted to declare your suspicions for sifaka?

noncredo: please can you tell us why you don't post much in this thread?

Roger. It was a miscount. I thought we had 4 people in the clear.

I will come with my hunches soon

Those are the two people I suspect the most as well so I'll be glad to find out the answers to those questions myself. I was actually going to accuse DP today but it seems that the swordmaster saved me the trouble. There was something so suspicious about the way he never seemed to make a decision for himself and did things that were "helpful" like collecting truth statements but never actually insightful.

Neither of these two seem to be very clear. Ghat only states who he is, and Ani says he's more town than a plague, which isn't very friendly to towns.

Fuck it, if Ksen is right taking out Ani takes out a scum player too, and I'm asleep on my seat at this point.

Vote Animavore
I was a bit suspicious of DP as well, but in this post of his, he points out Ghat... who turned out to be scum. I don't think he'd do that if they were a team.
This is one of the posts that makes me suspect Mantis. He tries to clean the name of DP by suggesting that since DP pointed out Ghat, DP is innocent. The problem with this is that DP pointed out EVERYONE who had made statements for truth-checking. Hence it's a suspicious attempt at clearing DP.

Mantis has also targeted me as a suspect even though I can see no reason why he would do that.

More investigation coming up in next post! :mob:

I thought that actually seemed like a reasonable statement coming from Mantis. That was actually the one reason why I had a few reservations about accusing DP myself. Accusing you was extremely odd, though. I guess I'm really hesitant to accuse Mantis this game because I still feel bad for lynching her last game. I should get over it, though. It's a new game and you're right, she's looking a bit scummy.

Wait a moment. Before the lynching of Ani, Mantis decided to retract his vote for Ani. At that point Ani was getting lynched anyway, so maybe he just retracted his vote because it wasn't needed and he wanted to look like he was against the voting of an innocent. Or it simply means that Mantis is innocent.

I'm not so sure Mantis is guilty anymore (but still suspicious :lay: )

I haven't posted much because no one person really stood out to me as particularly suspect. My suspicions were only mild at best. Also, it has been my experience that the quickest way to get killed in the beginning is to post a lot. Most of the useable information doesn't come until closer to the end of the game when there is at least a few people who can be trusted. My lack of posts does not mean I am guilty, only cautious.
