irreligionist wrote:oblivion - you had animavore at 7 votes but didn't list 7 voters - can you please re-check your numbers

I think animavore is innocent and my suspicion of sifaka grows.

I think sifaka is a better bet for hitting a scum. Note: higgs2 said that lynching animavore would not result in the death of the potential scum he's married to.
oops, you're right - there are six votes. I'll fix that post.

Sorry I haven't been active much today. I had been working for about two days with no sleep and I kind of crashed today. I'll try to compile that list now. Here are the first few:

2. irreligionist GMT + 11
Against: She's generally been helpful through this game, providing good insight.
For: When we were listing inactive players, she conspicuously left out Miss Anne Thorpe, which I thought was a bit odd.

4. heyzeus GMT - 5
(I can't really fill out reasons for and against my own lynching so someone else should do this.)

5. CookieJon GMT + 11
Against: CJ has come out and told us that he is an investigator, Lady Jessica. No one else has claimed to have such a role.
For: He hasn't provided any good intel yet and may be lying.

6. GhataNothoa GMT
Against: He hasn't done anything suspicious yet.
For: He hasn't done anything beneficial either.
I think Ghat is neutral at this point. I'm not sure that there are strong reasons to place him on either side of this conflict.

7. NonCredo GMT
For: She was silently lurking the thread for a long while without any input. I think scum have an inclination to be quiet so that they don't slip up and say anything revelatory. She's one of the few players who was silent yet still observing our conversation.
Against: She claims she was silent because she didn't have any real input and the thread was confusing and cluttered as it was. It seems like a fair point. Also, we were wrong about I_pity being scum for the same reason which means that her explanation is certainly plausible.

8. sifaka GMT + 13
For: she's been acting in a way that seems deliberately vague and confusing. CJ says that he was investigating her when he got blocked.
Against: She might just be uncomfortable with the Dune format of this game. It's unlikely that the person who roleblocked CJ knew who he was investigating. She's our mayor and there must be some reason we elected her, although I'm at a loss as to what that is. Can someone enlighten me?

9. Miss Anne Thrope
For: was seen lurking, although not nearly as much as I_pity or noncredo. When I tried to compile a list of inactive players, his* name kept disappearing as the list was tossed around with no explanation.
Against: Since becoming active, Miss has been giving reasons for her suggested lynchings although the reasoning is a bit faulty, perhaps deliberately.

10. Animavore GMT
For: He was making a lot of baseless accusations in the beginning. You can't trust a monkey, especially a blue-eyed one. His role could be made up. Also, he claims that he's the doctor's wife but our protector player has died and he was not a doctor but a Mentat jailer of sorts. It's possible there's more than one prote.ctor but not likely. CJ was roleblocked after publicly announcing that he was going to investigate Animavore.

Against: His actions are were so outlandish and irrational, it's hard to believe that a Harkkonen would make himself such an obvious target like that. No one has come forward to claim his admittedly obscure role. The roleblocking could have been done to make him look guilty or because CJ was one of the known players with a special role and was most likely protected tonight.

11. Normal GMT+1
Against: He has been generally helpful and reasonable.
For: Really none that I can think of. I don't find him to be a very strong suspect.

*It feels funny using this pronoun for someone with Miss in his username but I think I read that you're male? Let me know if I'm wrong and I'll repost this with the proper pronoun.

heyzeus: 95theses had my claim of being with town checked for truth.. and confirmed I am town. He also confirmed ksen as town. AFAIK the only players with innocence established are myself, 95theses and ksen.

I think sifaka is a better bet for scum than animavore.

14. DP GMT
DP is the same as Ghat. He hasn't done anything suspicious but he's also done nothing beneficial to our team. I don't remember DP's posts that well so if anyone has evidence to the contrary, please let me know.

16. MantisDreamz GMT - 5
For: MantisDreamz was silent for a long while, only showing up once we started to eye the silent players suspiciously.
Against: after what happened to her last game, it's not surprising that she would want to stay silent. Also, she's been providing reasonable accounts and analysis. She sometimes seems a bit confused about the rules but it was the same last game and she was innocent.

17. 95Theses GMT
For: He is one devious motherfucker.
Against: He has come out with his role, it's an important one and he doesn't seem to be lying.

18. ksen GMT - 5
For: He was silent until we started to suspect the silent players.
Against: Judging from his post count, he's not particularly talkative so this might not be out of character. He has been confirmed as being with town by 95Theses.

19. higgs2 GMT - 6?
Same as above minus the confirmation.

20. Evil Spock
For: She hasn't said a word all game. If she is on our team, she's not being particularly helpful.
Against: She's my real life friend and she did say that she might not be available to play every day. I actually haven't even spoken to her since we started playing and we usually speak regularly over IM so her story checks out.

irreligionist: How should I go about correcting that? Should I just post the whole chart again? I'd like to just edit it but I know that's against the rules.

also, some of you seem really sure of sifaka's guilt. Did I miss something really incriminating? Why did we vote her for mayor in the first place?

I'm going to vote sifaka. I trust your judgement and I'm running out of time. Also, I don't believe Animavore is guilty.

I've been reading over the thread... I think sifaka has acted suspiciously. I think establishing her guilt/innocence would shed light on who some of the scum are.

I don't know if it's too late... do you need to retract a vote for animavore before voting for sifaka?

Is there anyone else to reconsider their votes?

No I hadn't voted yet. If there's anyone who wants to reconsider their vote, it's imperative that you do it immediately.

I have just woken, and I think I agree. I haven't voted yet, but I think I'm going to go with you guys on this one and try to

Vote sifaka

What the hell people have you gone insane?
I turn my back for one afternoon in real life and now this?

I am Harah, one of Paul Atreides' servants, I am with town

Sorry if I didn't seem to be playing well, I just suck at strategy games.

I'm innocent!

Nightfall!

I'm going to take a couple of minutes to confirm the last minute votes/vote changes before I post the ending post of Day 3.
