There was obviously some reason the investigation into her was prevented, unless one of the scum has a general ability to prevent any investigation at all for one night, which I find unlikely. She's the most likely candidate for scum at this point, anyway.
Why do you find that unlikely?
Because it's not a power I've come across in any previous mafia games I've played, and it would skew things a long way in the mafia's favour.
Oh, I see what you're saying now. You're saying it is unlikely scum have a blanket power to stop investigations without targeting anyone specific to block, correct?

It is much more likely that scum have a roleblocker and that the roleblocker was tasked with blocking CJ last night while scum killed the Doc. Thus clearing the way for a kill of CJ tonight.
Right, that's what I was saying. And you could be right with the roleblocker thing too. But as there is little other tangible evidence to go on, and I find sifaka's performance suspicious, I'm still keeping my vote on her.

Has Sifaka categorically stated anywhere that she wins with the town yet?

And also, this may have been glossed over, but does anyone else find this "confession" a bit sus?

Yes, that's true. However we do know the gender of Virphen's character so we can know that CJ was not accidently blocked by him. Which was the question I was originally responding to when I brought up Thufir's gender.
Ah, okay. Sorry. I should probably step away from the keyboard until I'm more alert.
NP. :hugs:

heyzeus, are you Town?
I already said so yesterday but yes, I am town.

I'm thinking 95theses should test ksen for truth, as ksen would be valuable for town if s/he is cleared.
Way ahead of you

I figured he clearly knows WTH is going on with this game and these characters.

Ksen is telling the truth when he claims to be with Town.
When did you view him?

I had a prostitute distract me the first night. Since I have no special powers it didn't do anything.

Nothing so sinister I'm afraid, just trying to use my knowledge of the Dune universe to good effect.

I'm with town.

The world is a thing of utter inordinate complexity and richness and strangeness that is absolutely awesome. I mean the idea that such complexity can arise not only out of such simplicity, but probably absolutely out of nothing, is the most fabulous extraordinary idea. And once you get some kind of inkling of how that might have happened, it's just wonderful. And . . . the opportunity to spend 70 or 80 years of your life in such a universe is time well spent as far as I am concerned.

Both.

So, the idea is if you die, your husband does too, so a scum dies as well as a(possible) innocent, but you said it only works the other way around.

Are you sure? Because I really want to vote to lynch you and if it's for a good reason it looks better than petty revenge.

By the way, Sifaka, Miss Anne Thrope, Noncredo and probably others need to state that they're with the town.

I'm voting sifaka. If CookieJon is who he claims to be, it's likely she's scum if an investigation on her was blocked.
Yeah, but everyone thought I was going to investigate Ani, so unless they were informed somehow of my intended suspect, I don't see that that directly implicates Sifaka.
To tell you the truth I was a bit onto Sifaka as well. I noticed in one of her posts she said: I am mayor, therefore I am with town. Being mayor doesn't mean she is innocent at all! And there was one other post that was suspicious too. Hmm, Sifaka, hm.

For some reason I don't really suspect Animavore either. I kind of think he is who he says he is.

I wonder if the mayor is given the ability to block their first investigation?
