Btw, would you mind telling me what kind of evil lurks in the hearts of men? I've been trying to figure that out since I was a kid.
You could have just asked me. :toetap:

Let us think the unthinkable, let us do the undoable, let us prepare to grapple with the ineffable itself, and see if we may not eff it after all.

No, Rum's wind is because of Josh. The heartburn is caused by Feck's chilis.

Hi LaMont! I have legitimate academic credentials too, but I'm not a doctor. What are you a doctor of again?

Oh, and will you be launching the ubiquitous "God game" here as well? If so, can I suggest a slight variation wherein this time you're Thor, the hot scandinavian god with the great bod and the ability to sling lightning bolts! (Now that's classy!)

See ya 'round!

CookieJon, It's nice to see you here! For the time being, it seems to me that people have such strong emotional reactions to The God Game that I just don't to go there. I choose not to discuss my academic credentials; I'd rather be known by the words I write and the relationships I get involved in with fellow members. By me, it doesn't much matter if I'm a busboy at Denny's in Phoenix or a Nobel Prize winner in physics. I will see you around the forum...

Feck, You asked something about my conception of God. At the moment, I'm writing this post from California after freezing my ass off in St. Louis recently. I'll be back at my home in Hawaii in a few days, and I'll be happy to go into much greater detail about why I'm a theist.

However, for the time being, the God I'm talking about is "The Big Guy," "The Highest of the Higher Powers," "The G-Man," you know, the "One, True and Only God." I think that we are part of God, and God is part of us. I also happen to think that there's a great deal of humor to be found in the ongoing discussions that happen between believers and non-believers, and we are much better off laughing about our supposed differences than being angry, fighting wars, etc.

I really do look forward to more involved discussions one I have a bit more time and energy.
