I've just read the whole thread and can only think of one thing: The new forum is now some 10 days old, LIFE - our admin - and the staff are running around like chicken on ecstasy to get the place up and running and the first thing some people have in mind is complaining that they can't do things over there that they have been doing here for over a year?

Throw us a fricken bone here. We're trying to make RatSkep a good forum, but right now we have more pressing matters to attend to than the desire of a handful of people to talk about the taste of various bodily fluids.

Oh, and just so you know: I participated in that original semen-thread. ( Sounds dirty... ) I found it hilarious and I think that one reason I haven't been a member here since the 08-schism is that I happened to be away during the big break-down. When I came back, everything was already over, so I didn't bother.
What I want to say is this: The rules over there aren't perfect, but to suggest that the reason we have them is that we're a bunch of prudes and Nazis is just plain wrong. Frankly, dev and a few others, you are not that important and to cater to your desire to do the stuff over there that you can perfectly well do over here is pretty low on our list of priorities.

Mazille and anyone else over at RatSkep, just for the record, I don't think it's any of my business the way things are done over there. I signed up there and I'll be happy with whatever develops. If it bacame just like Ratz, what would be the point of making a new forum in the first place? I look forward to having Ratz and RatSkep as two friendly alternatives for whichever mood I'm in.

I also didn't want to come across as hostile in my last post. I just think it's sad that it didn't even take two weeks to carry some personal vendettas to RatSkep. I just don't see why we can't all be friends.

RDF did lose something when it stopped people discussing there own sexuality because it took away unique personal insights. Josh and Richard threw the baby out with the bathwater. But now is not the time to deal with this. RS must stabilise and at some point in the future the issue of discussing personal sexuality can be raised in a calm and rational manner.

I'm sure you are right. The general trend of this thread has not really been complaining, more inquisitive as to the rationale behind certain decisions, which I accept is ultimately for you lot to make!

(I say "you lot" when I am actually a member over there, but with one post in the welcome thread I am not a major shareholder... )
