The world is a thing of utter inordinate complexity and richness and strangeness that is absolutely awesome. I mean the idea that such complexity can arise not only out of such simplicity, but probably absolutely out of nothing, is the most fabulous extraordinary idea. And once you get some kind of inkling of how that might have happened, it's just wonderful. And . . . the opportunity to spend 70 or 80 years of your life in such a universe is time well spent as far as I am concerned.

I think he was making a joke in reference to the scenario I described from last game. still, posting nonsensical shit like that isn't doing much to wain my suspicion. the silent people are more suspicious but ani isn't completely off the hook as far as I'm concerned.DP wrote:You really like to confuse people, don't you?Animavore wrote:No reason.

Looking at the bottom of the page, one of our non-posters is here.heyzeus wrote:I think he was making a joke in reference to the scenario I described from last game. still, posting nonsensical shit like that isn't doing much to wain my suspicion. the silent people are more suspicious but ani isn't completely off the hook as far as I'm concerned.DP wrote:You really like to confuse people, don't you?Animavore wrote:No reason.

Yes. i_pity_the_fool? I think I saw him posting the other day. Still, he's been pretty quiet. We can add him to our list of top suspects. I think our best choices would be either Ani, 95 or I_pity. Possibly Mantis as well.

In this game, with no PMs allowed between townies, what would a truly innocent person have to say?heyzeus wrote:Like I said, the silent people are more suspicious. Why would we go for an active player?
It seems to me the only people who would have a clue what's going on so early in the game would be those who have had communication with each other (ie. SCUM!)
I find Ani & Irre voting for each other, then retracting their votes highly suspicious. What was that all about, please?
Oh, and you might as well know that Virphen is loyal to the Atreides - he is Town. How do I know? I am Lady Jessica, and I have the power of sight.
Now that I have revealed my role I will likely be hit by the scum tonight, so if there is a role which is able to protect me, I suggest you do so tonight while I view someone else.
Who are we most suspicious of at the moment? Any suggestions?

Ani, it's not the joke part that I find suspicious, it's the fact that you're suggesting we go for an active player then not providing any justification.

Re: Dune 2.0 Game Thread
I'm not sure if this is more shit-stirring or if he's actually serious. I will reveal my role if I have to. Cookie, you may be right that some people are silent because they don't have anything to say but the mafia players are usually very silent as well. Remember last game?Animavore wrote:Heyzues.CookieJon wrote: Who are we most suspicious of at the moment? Any suggestions?

Some were, some weren't; Ani & I were quite vocal, and were both Yakuza.heyzeus wrote:I'm not sure if this is more shit-stirring or if he's actually serious. I will reveal my role if I have to. In this game, though, the innocents have absolutely NOTHING to go on. In previous games, some were contacted via PM by the cops who investigated them.
Seems to me a true innocent would have absolutely nothing to say in this game.
Re: Dune 2.0 Game Thread
I'm just probing. Ok. I'm backing of heyzues.
Right. Lets look at the silent ones. One of them I know if innocent although I can't currently reveal I will just say that the person hasn't been accused yet so let's stick to the ones we are already on so that I don't have to out the person directly or indirectly.

I'm sticking with my vote for animavore unless someone can present a better candidate.
As CJ has correctly reported my innocence, he has my tentative trust. Of course, a bad guy could proclaim my innocence knowing that I'm certainly not going to contradict them, but it seems an odd move.
Any protectors should protect either me or CJ, as we're now the biggest targets - and that way the bad guys won't know who to go after and will likely target someone else who hasn't been able to show themselves trustworthy in any way?
Could both CJ and I be bad guys? It's always possible, but it would be a hell of a ballsy move for the bad team to make.

But we've already seen that the "quiet" ones are automatically under suspicion. How are we to gain anything by keeping quiet?
