Perhaps compelling was the wrong word. Entertaining might be more accurate.

Pretty manipulative ad campaigns on par with anti-abortionists.

PETA Founder Ingrid Newkirk's Will:

I think that this is a good example of how a PETA member's mind functions.

Fuck that, I would want her well done. Might catch something nasty
Outside the ordered universe is that amorphous blight of nethermost confusion which blasphemes and bubbles at the center of all infinity—the boundless daemon sultan Azathoth, whose name no lips dare speak aloud, and who gnaws hungrily in inconceivable, unlighted chambers beyond time and space amidst the muffled, maddening beating of vile drums and the thin monotonous whine of accursed flutes.

She's such a fucking drama Queen.

I could do with a wallet. I'll take an Ingrid wallet. I don't see what it's meant to prove. Thanks Ing.

Eww. She doesn't have enough marbling and would be way too tough.

How about a coin purse made from her ear? 8-)

In the book "The Monkey Wars" it says the Humane Society was losing members to groups like PETA because they were viewed as being to passive. I know for fact the Humane Society has changed cause I recently heard an agribiz reporter call them a radical animal rights group.

A few years ago I had an aunt pass away and her old employer, a very large pharmaceutical company, called me and said they wanted to make a donation in my aunts name to a charity. I told them to make the donation to the Humane Society of the Untied States. :hehe:

Because of their extreme and irrational views on some issues, they damage the important efforts of mainstream organisations to improve the welfare of animals in practical ways, if only by making the general public resistant to messages about real animal cruelty. Extreme green organisations have done a similar disservice to the environmental movement...

Eel skin makes a good wallet. ("Eel skin" actually being "Hagfish skin".)

They love this "all or nothing" kind of argument. My cats are all rescues, since forever, so they would have been euthanized someone like me hadn't come along. I wonder if they'd complain about the quality of cat food I put out for the feral community here. I go through a large bag of dry and 60 cans each month on the deck. They'd probably say I should live outside and let the strays have the house. :nono:
Actually they'd say that even owning a cat is "immoral" and would try breaking into your house and attempt to set your cats "free." :ddpan:

They also don't approve of vegetarians and want everyone to go 100% vegan. :nono:
