SO...those blue-eyed space worms sure are spicy today, aren't they?
Re: Dune 2.0 Peanut Gallery
Just knocked this together

Outside the ordered universe is that amorphous blight of nethermost confusion which blasphemes and bubbles at the center of all infinity—the boundless daemon sultan Azathoth, whose name no lips dare speak aloud, and who gnaws hungrily in inconceivable, unlighted chambers beyond time and space amidst the muffled, maddening beating of vile drums and the thin monotonous whine of accursed flutes.

An hour to the off. This should be fun.

The world is a thing of utter inordinate complexity and richness and strangeness that is absolutely awesome. I mean the idea that such complexity can arise not only out of such simplicity, but probably absolutely out of nothing, is the most fabulous extraordinary idea. And once you get some kind of inkling of how that might have happened, it's just wonderful. And . . . the opportunity to spend 70 or 80 years of your life in such a universe is time well spent as far as I am concerned.

How does the voting work? Do we PM votes to you or do we vote in game thread?

Let us think the unthinkable, let us do the undoable, let us prepare to grapple with the ineffable itself, and see if we may not eff it after all.

You vote in the game thread. The OP of the game thread explains the format for voting/unvoting the lynch and the mayor.

Does a mayor have to be voted every day or just the first day?oblivion wrote:You vote in the game thread. The OP of the game thread explains the format for voting/unvoting the lynch and the mayor.

the mayor serves until the end of the game or he/she is lynched or night killed, whichever comes first. If you lose your mayor, then a new election will happen on the next game day.DP wrote:Does a mayor have to be voted every day or just the first day?oblivion wrote:You vote in the game thread. The worms eat everything, even the spice harvesters(think combine harvester, only bigger), but the worms are also the source of the spice, melange, aid to prescient visions, prolongs life, allows navigators to see a path through foldspace which is the only manner of interstellar travel.irreligionist wrote:Thanks. The only source of the spice is Dune, whoever controls Dune controls the spice, whoever controls the spice controls the key to almost limitless wealth.

I can see you are a good person to ask Dune-y questions. My sum total of Dune knowledge has been gained in this thread
