Because they needed the extra stessors to set him off. "An unfortunate chain of events, including PTSD from the war . . . "

OK DiCap can act. It was stylish and as finely detailed as most Scorsese films. But well I was just a bit, well depressed by it all really. Left not giving a toss about the "hero" at all. Meh story is meh.
