Bruno Heller ("The Mentalist") has finished his script for the film sequel to HBO's acclaimed historical epic series "Rome" reports Entertainment Weekly.
Morning Light Productions will produce and finance the film which starts off in Germany four years after the show's final episode which primarily dealt with the death of Mark Antony and Cleopatra and the rise of Octavian to become Emperor Augustus.
The film likely follows the fate of the show's two leads Lucius Vorenus (Kevin McKidd) and Titus Pullo (Ray Stevenson), despite the former seemingly mortally wounded in the finale.
I've been looking forward to the movie anyway, but knowing Lucius is going to be in it makes it even better
Rome, blood, guts, sex, depravity, and somehow a hot redhead. All things I love so much

YES.
A Rome sequel would be great.
Although, from my understanding, the tragedy of Antony and Cleopatra wasn't supposed to come to fruition till season 4. If we take that as a benchmark from where they'll go next, then that means that they'll probably use what they planned for seasons 5 and 6.
While this includes the fall of Rome, it also will have a shitload of Jesus/early Xianity themes. To which I say bollocks.
